4 Gokul Dairy employees robbed of Rs 6.3 lakh

Pune A gang of three unidentified men attacked four employees of Gokul Dairy, a franchise of Chitale Bandhu in Erandwane and decamped with Rs 6.3 lakh around 9.35 am on Thursday.

According to the police, supervisors Balbhim Kamble, Chintamani Ghate, manager Uday Kelkar and watchman Aziz Sayyed Ali of Gokul Dairy were traveling on two wheelers to the local branch of the Bank of Maharashtra for depositing money when the incident took place. Police said that the employees used to go to bank everyday at the same time to deposit cash.

The robbers intercepted the four employees near Karve Road and attacked them sharp weapons before fleeing the spot with the money. Police said that the faces of robbers were covered and three employees sustained injuries in the attack.

Kamble, supervisor at Gokul Dairy had lodged a complaint with the Kothrud police station in this regard. Senior crime branch officers including deputy commissioner Anil Kumbhare and assistant commissioner Sangramsinh Nishandar visited the crime scene and a nakabandhi operation was launched.
