According to the police, the accused was a regular visitor of the mess the victim was running at Baner road. Sometime in September 2007, Parte got food laced with sedatives for her after having which she fell unconscious. He then raped her, took obscene pictures of her and later threatened her that he would show the pictures to her family if she reveals this to anybody Parte also raped her twice later by blackmailing the same. She lodged a complaint with the police recently.
Police sub inspector M.N Joshi said "Parte took gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 50,000 in cash from her by threatening her. We are currently investigating various aspects of the case."
