480 examined at medical camp

Ludhiana As many as 480 patients were examined at a free medical camp organised by the Rising Youth Association, an NGO, at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sector 32, on Chandigarh Road. Free medicines were given to the patients and ECG and sugar tests were also conducted free-of-cost.

Dr Akashdeep Singh, Dr Chetan Sharma, Dr H S Gill, Dr Vaneet Kaur and Dr Harpreet Singh of SPS Apollo Hospitals, with supporting staff examined the patients and rendered follow-up advice.

This multi-speciality camp was inaugurated by Bhagwan Singh and Jathedar Amarjeet Singh Bhatia, who lauded the initiative of the RYA functionaries in reaching out to the poor and needy patients. RYA president Gurinder Chahal and general secretary Varun Shridhar said that their NGO held such camps every month.
