The newsi is really shocking. How could such thing happen in this civilised society? Too difficult to believe. The crime should be investigated thoroughly and expeditiously. The perpetrators of the crime should be given exemplary punishment. All the necessary measures should be taken immediately to rehabilitate the victim girls. At the same time, there are some questions needed to be investigated. Are the accused parents too foolish and superstitious to commit such a heinous crime? How is that the victim girl did not have an opportunity to reveal her "experience" to an outsider in the last nine years? Were the girls not attending school? (School-going children have many opportunities) What is that that made the victim girl keep mum for the last nine years? How dare a third person, as a 'tantrik', could suggest such a thing so easily? Above all, how could a mother abet such a crime that too for such a long period of time?

When this sort of dirty act happens in a particular culture/clan/caste/ethnic origin, the anger of the entire nation is directed towards the particular culture and people start exceedingly criticising that culture as if other cultures are immune from this sort of dastardly act. My point is that there are good and dirty people in all cultures/races/castes and religions as we witness in communal clashes.
