The girl was, however, recovered from outskirts of the village after 15-20 minutes. The police have registered a case on charges of attempt to kidnap against the unidentified auto-rickshaw driver.
According to the police, Sunaina and her five-year-old brother had gone to the market when the incident occurred.
“Her uncle drives an auto-rickshaw. According to the girl, an auto-rickshaw driver gave her lift to which she readily agreed thinking that it was her uncle. Later, she discovered that the driver was not her uncle and she started screaming.
The driver apparently left her in panic and later she was spotted by villagers. We have registered a case against the unidentified auto-rickshaw driver,” said Station House Officer Police Station-11 Inspector Ramesh.
