“The gang, which comprised of men from Bangalore and Chennai, had set up base in Kharagpur. They will be produced in court tomorrow,” said Jawed Shamim, Deputy Commissioner of detective department.

The gang had a local contact, Dore Mudalia, in Bandel with whose help they operated in the city.

Another associate of the gang, Rafiq Ansari, has also been arrested.

NSCs worth Rs 93,000 and Rs 27,000 in cash and a laptop were recovered from the gang.
