It’s the solution all drinkers have been waiting for: alcohol without hangovers. The space in the market for luxury vodkas just got a little more crowded after Skyy90 an all-American vodka was launched in Delhi with a swinging party at the Intercontinental Hotel’s bar 24X7. Skyy90 makes the rather lofty claim of being this very expensive elixir that magically doesn’t cause headache, no matter how much you consume, thanks to a very elaborate, computer-monitored distillation process. Competing against brands like Grey Goose and Absolut, V Ramesh Mani, CEO of Focus Brand, responsible for bringing Skyy90 to India, seemed confident about this vodka’s future though it costs approximately Rs 3,500 a bottle. “This is a drink with a strong association with glamour and the high life,” said Mani. “Our research shows the Indian market is ready for it.” Sure enough, we spotted designers Renu Tandon and Ashish Pandey sampling cocktails made with Skyy 90 at the bar, though Vijay Amritraj decided to stick to his usual, a whisky. The perfect vodka martini experience awaits you.
