Peoples party or Dawoods party by Raj on 09 Nov 2009

Who runs the show? Dawood got his set of ministers/puppets. I wonder if he is behind those posts. It ultimately benefits him and his company. Now Dawood and his company will have free run.

R R Patil's selection as Home Minister by Sharat Jain on 09 Nov 2009

Selection of R R Patil as Home Minister even before the anniversary of 26/11 shows how unmindful the political class has become towards the public security. Then why was he removed as Home Minister in the first place. It looks as if to sooth the public outcry in the immidiate aftermath of 26/11 he was removed and now as public memory is short he has been brought back. Shame on congress and shame on politicians.

Patil's return as HM by Ananth Seth on 09 Nov 2009

I thank the voters of Maharashtra and/or EVMs for this! Kya resilience hai!

shame on the electorate by viswanathan on 09 Nov 2009

The shame rests squarely on the electorate who elected him . They had no regard for the victims of 26/11. We all know that cong is the most venal and shameless party and so no use blaming them . it is just those voters who have spat on the face of the relatives of the victim and dishonoured those who died. THERE IS NO HOPE FOR JUSTCE IN THIS COUNTRY.

RR Patil by Varinde on 09 Nov 2009

Swearing-in of Mr. RR Patil as Home Minister of Maharashtra is an insult to people and it appears politicians are bent upon to hurl such insults on people for more 5 years. What are the compulsions behind this action, perhaps only NCP and Congress knows, people don't matter any more. Nevertheless people have to reap what they have sown therefore crying foul won't affect the politicians. Jai ho.

RR Patil by Sanjiv on 09 Nov 2009

Mr. Roy is back as GDP. Hassan Gaffoor has been kicked up. Vilasrao got promotion to central council and now RR is back as Home Minister. Hope that the serial dresser Shivraj is also accommodated by some lucrative postings soon. Now the country will celebrate with crocodile tears anniversary of 26/11 and these thick skinned hypocrites will pay tributes to 'martyrs' - people who were slaughtered like street dogs due to their incompetence.

Retrograde Step by Satish Haldankar on 09 Nov 2009

Now we are back to bad old days of moral policing. He would try to impose his village morals on the urban centres. Most of the policemen would be deployed to make sure that harmless women employees in bars leave by 9-30 PM. The more serious security concerns would be put on the back burner. God save Maharashtra.

Only R.R. Patil is the honest Politician in whole ministers by Abhijit A. Patil on 09 Nov 2009

Mr, R.R. Patil is the man who is the honest person in new list of the ministers.ohter people are not present in Assmbly regularly.

Yahoo ! Patil is back. by Naim Naqvi on 09 Nov 2009

If the public memory is not so weak these gems were dropped from Shree R.R. Patil's succulent lips last year : Patil had said in Hindi: "Aisa nahi hai. Itne bade shahar mein chhota hadsa ho jata hai. To total failure nahi hai. (It is not like that. In big cities like this, small incidents do happen. It's is not a total failure.)" Someone put a defence that he is short of proper Hindi diction. Might be true but we need such broadminded politicians to ameliorate the suffering of mankind especially in a state which is blessed with head quarters of RSS and philanthropist like Thackreys. It%u2019s not strange that his Boss is also preaching in Delhi the virtues of austerity as common commodities for survival are going beyond the reach of a common man. Can we add if our Hindi is not so poor: Aisa nahi hai. Itne bade mulk men sub bhook se mar rahe hon. Kuch log to bhooke har jagah so he jate hain. Nahi nahi yeh mukammal nakami nahen hai. These are the excuses to hide incompetency and corruption.

NO SYMPATHY, they asked for it. by Boby Mehta on 09 Nov 2009

No sympathy with Marathi manoos, they elected Congress. Marathi manoos deserve Congress.

This is a crude joke on democrcy by Raman Mudaliar on 09 Nov 2009

So this is what Sonia's Congress have for the people of Mumbai. There could not be a bigger insult to the martyrs of 26/11

Indian by Indian on 09 Nov 2009

All are hungry for money and power... who cares for common people... these politicians should be banned... cannot perform then kick them out. Making people fools.. how much money was given to him to take 1 year holiday?/ How many crores of common man money ? Now back from his holidays ... fooling common man

R.R.Patil by MOHAN DADDIKAR on 09 Nov 2009

He is the only honest poitician but, unfortunaley, is not competnt enough to be incharge of the Home Ministery as observed by his irresponsibe remarks during terrorist violence in Mumbai and his inability to trace and punish the Moslem hoodlooms who set fire to two policeent at Bhivandi about two years back.

Political goondas shameles by Siddharth on 09 Nov 2009

RR Patil and Chhagan Bhujbal had let loose their policemen on innocent protesting lady doctors during the OBC quota stir in Mumbai. It was shocking and painful to see the lady doctors brutally lathicharged. These very same politcal goons who like the Nero of yore fiddled while Mumabi burned during 28/11 are now firmly back in the saddle. What a SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!

R.R.Patil by kumar on 09 Nov 2009

SHAME! SHAME!! SHAME!!!

Politicians the indifferent by Anubhav Bhargava on 09 Nov 2009

This step taken by the leaders of Maharashtra shows how indifferent, insensitive and callous they are with regard to the sentiments of people. Appointment of Mr. R. R. Patil again as the home minister is simply very outrageous and demeaning for the people.

Patil is back! by Ram Nath Babu on 09 Nov 2009

What sentiment you are talking about? I don't think people have any sentiments or sense as they have ocne again elected a non-wroking government. When they are satisifed with the performance of the non-performing Congress-NCP alliance, why should people from other states interfere. The get what they deserve, because it is democracy at its best! (or worst?)

Politics by Anubhav Bhargava on 24 Nov 2009

Sir, your point is very correct but there are several reasons of re-election of non-performing government. In case of Maharashtra there was no formidable opposition. People had no other choice than re-elect the same people as they have no other better option from the lot they have been offered for election.

politicians by naresh on 09 Nov 2009

people of Maharashtra has voted them back then where is the question of complain.

Appointment of R. R. Patil by Anubhav Bhargava on 24 Nov 2009

He was not elected by the people of whole of Maharashtra. He was elected only by the people of his constituency. I assure you if he would have contested from my constituency I would not have voted for him.

strange argument by arun kumar on 09 Nov 2009

who elected RR PATIL? if not people of Maharashtra then who?

appointment of R. R. Patil by Anubhav Bhargava on 24 Nov 2009

As per my knowledge he was not elected from mumbai constituency. If people from other constituency elects a unwated leader in other part you can't blame the people of whole of Maharshtra.

RR Patil by kabir on 09 Nov 2009

Old win in new bottle. Nothing will cahnge in maharstra. After getting less vote these nCP and Cong ruling this state. Same on MNS. Congress will like to have Raj in the next election. Divide and rule , is the policy of Congress. bande Mataram
