Chandigarh, March 9 A delegation of Muslim leaders met today at the residence of Harmohan Dhawan, former union minister and convener of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

At the meeting, Ahmed Ali was unanimously elected as the president of the minority cell of BSP. Other officer-bearers and various committees at villages, colonies and sectors will be constituted in the coming days.

At the meeting, the members unanimously condemned the acts of terrorism.

While welcoming the increase in exemption limit of income tax and reduction in car prices in the recently passed budget, the members said that little steps have been taken for the poor people.

“Prices of various essential commodities are rising and are going out of reach of the common man. Steps need to be taken for the betterment of the people,” Dhawan said.
