Mumbai 'Action Replay', Vipul Shah's time travel saga starring Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar in the lead, may have to wait for a while before it hits the marquee.

Though the principal shooting of the film began early this year, there is still one schedule waiting to be shot. A few months back the makers had announced April 2010 as the tentative month for the film's release but chances are that the film may move to a later day.

"We will look at the market condition and then bring in 'Action Replay'. There is no hurry and neither am I restricted from any quarters," producer-director Vipul Shah said.

Unlike numerous Akshay Kumar films that wrap up in few months and see a quick release, 'Action Replay' is taking a while to reach the finishing mark. Film's theme requires the characters to traverse between 1975 to the current times and there are longer and more spread out shooting schedules.

"We have one schedule left which should most likely get completed January next year. We will assess the situation then and take the final call. If the market isn't good then, I will move 'Action Replay' from April", says Vipul.

What must also be playing in Vipul's mind is the fact that April already has another confirmed release of Akshay in the form of Sajid Khan directed 'Housefull'.

The release period was locked months back and since the film has been pretty much on schedule with entire principal shooting wrapped up, it may well gain priority over other releases.

Vipul's last release 'London Dreams' also didn't do too well at the box office in spite of good critical acclaim coming it's way. Somehow the audiences were just not willing to watch Salman and Ajay all over again soon after an overdose in the form of 'Wanted', 'Main Aurr Mrs Khanna' and 'All The Best'.

Since 2009 has already witnessed five Akshay Kumar releases --'Chandni Chowk To China', '8X10 Tasveer', 'Kambakkth Ishq', 'Blue', 'De Dana Dan' and 'Housefull' being the next in the pipeline, Vipul is said to be cautious before making any further announcement.

"We have to keep in mind the best possible release timing rather than hurrying up the affairs. It's one step at a time," he says.

'Action Replay' also stars veteran Randhir Kapoor in an important role along with Ranvijay Singh, a popular VJ who was last seen in Vipul's 'London Dreams'.

Pritam has composed the music for the film which is touted to be a neat family entertainer instead of being an action flick, something that the title conveys.

Incidentally, when the film was first announced two years back, Vipul wasn't too happy with the title and was having second thoughts about changing it from English to Hindi.
