Jammu The Amarnath yatra was suspended from Jammu due to snowfall in some places along the Pahalgam route to the cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas.

The Amarnath Shrine Board had advised local authorities that the pilgrimage should not be allowed from Jammu in view of the bad weather.

In order to avoid rush at the base camp at Nunwan in Pahalgam, authorities did not allow a fresh batch to proceed for the shrine.

The yatra has been suspended many times in this season due to inclement weather in the Kashmir valley.
