Raj Thackey's suggestion that integrating with local people in western countries will isolate Indians from any chances of harm from racist gangs is idiotic. Nowadays , specially after globalisation local people of many western countries have been developing a sense of hatred towards indians and other non-caucasian races. There are dangers of living in a foreign land. For Indians, even India is a dangerous place to live. For example recent attacks on North Indians by Shiv Sena thugs is an example.
I have seen over years, the indians comming to US or other western countries, they have themselves to blame for this. I again say indians should learn to interact more with the local people and integrate with the society where they live and work. Most indians are confined to their own community which already raises suspecion. If they wanted to be in their own community then should not go to western countries in the first place. Moreover they also try to impose their values and cultural habbits on other people, remember western civilization is a free society, you cannot impose your values or cultures or habbits on other people.
How safe are the Indians who come there to work or study? Formerly to go to the US fr studying or working was considered as an achievement. Now, with this present condition being observed, I would never send my kids to such an unsafe place. Seems that it is as risky as sending thm out into the wild....Hoped the situation would change..... Cannot something be done to protect those people who leave their loved ones and the security of their country to go abroad to achieve something in life?????
