Ludhiana, August 22 High drama was witnessed at Sherpur Chowk on Friday when Municipal Corporation officials removed the encroachment by Stan Autos.

According to MC officials, Stan Autos had personalised the green belt area of the MC and had enclosed it by installing grills.

In addition, they were also using a part of the area for parking vehicles.

As the MC team went ahead with the anti-encroachment drive, the staff of Stan Autos pelted stones and caused a traffic jam for nearly half an hour.

The parked vehicles were, however, removed and the grills were demolished, said DSP Amandeep Kaur.
