Chandigarh, March 21 After receiving a report from the Jhajjar Police, the Gurgaon district administration today issued show-cause notice to actress Soha Ali Khan regarding issuing of arms licence to her when she was underage. She has been asked to file a reply to the notice within a fortnight.

In the notice, Soha has been asked to explain that when on November 5, 1996, she was issued a arms licence, her age was below 21 years, whereas according to Section 9(1)(a) of the Arms Act 1959, the age of applicant for arms licence should not be under 21 years.

The second question posed to her is that why her father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who was retainer of the rifle, misused the .22 rifle, as was alleged in FIR no. 191 registered on June 5, 2005, in Jhajjar district in the black buck poaching case.

If no reply is received from her, it will be presumed that she has nothing to say and the district administration would take appropriate action under law.

As far as the missing of original file of Soha Ali Khan’s arms licence is concerned, the District Magistrate has ordered an inquiry by ADC Abhe Singh Yadav. He would inquire into all aspects of this case.
