Ahmedabad, July 24 An illegal arms dealer recently arrested in Bharuch has named Kishore Vasava, younger son of Jhagadiya MLA Chotu Vasava, as his customer, in a confession to the police.

D K Agarwal, investigating officer with the Crime Branch, said that one of the arrested gunrunners said that Kishore Vasava had ordered some of the weapons seized from him. On his part, Agarwal said that investigations are still on and no further arrests have been made in this regard.

On Tuesday, the Ankleshwar police arrested five persons and seized a large cache of country-made arms and ammunition coming from Uttar Pradesh at a check post near the National Highway.

Meanwhile, the Vasavas were not available for comment on the findings of the Crime Branch. Kishore and his brother are wanted in several criminal cases. Kishore is also wanted in the murder of one Sheikh Shakil in 2001.
