Dr Shah alleged that a few people have also barred the management’s entry to the hospital. However, Gaurang Dholakia, general secretary of hospital’s workers union alleged, “We come to work everyday, however, the management has instructed the doctors not to come to the hospital. In last 14 days the hospital has discharged 109 indoor patients. Also, the management has not paid wages to the employees for the month of November.”
Rubbishing rumours that the management is planning to sell-off the hospital, Dr Shah said, “The management comprising 35 members has no such plans. In fact, last year we had submitted a detailed report to BMC on hospital expansion plans and had proposed to include MRI and CT scan facilities. We are ready to re-run the hospital provided we have healthy working conditions.”
