New Delhi, October 31: Often neglected, hockey players finally had their wounds healed a bit as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh felicitated the Asia Cup winning team at his residence in Delhi on Wednesday.

It was a moment to cherish for captain Prabodh Tirkey and his teammates who interacted with the Prime Minister and his wife Gursharan Kaur for close to 20 minutes.

The Prime Minister personally congratulated each member of the team and presented them with mementos for their splendid show.

The players responded by presenting a hockey stick to the Prime Minister.
