In India it is the cow-belt or Aryavarta (northern India) which tries to dominate the whole of India. It is a Racial/ethnic (Dravidian/Brown Caucasoid or Aryan) as well as plitical and cultural conflict. The formation of the southern political party ADMK can be seen as a counter-response to the Northern Congress. Plus ethnic conflict is there since the days of Ramayana. Culturally and particularly linguistically the north-south conflict becomes serious sometimes. You have to visit India to get this picture. But there are more conflicts in India, for example Bengal has always been different and does not accept the cow-belt dominance at all. Also the North-east or Mongoloid belt asserts its own ethnic identity whenevr possible. Thus in the parlimentarian democracy, who dominates whom is determined by the fact that who are the majority. As Aryans are the majority, they tend to discriminate and marginalise others, including the Dravidians. I can say this as i have done Master's in History from JU and currently doing Phd in History also.

I would like to comment on the statement made by Dravidian on 9/1/2009 in this regard. It is not ADMK, it is DK (Dravidar Kazhagam) which was started by Periyar EVR to fight with the injustices done to the Dravidians and south Indians. DK remains a non political party till date and it is a social party which was fighting for the injustices towards dravidians especially to non-brahmins non-brahmins. If this is not known to masters degree holder and a PhD scholor from JU, then I have to say "GOD SAVE INDIAN EDUCATION'S QUALITY'. Further to his statement "since the days of ramayana", I would like to know what is the day? whether it has been proved that Rama existed? Aryan Invasion is one of the BIGGEST lies and completely fabricated.There was no such invasion. Max Muller created a story and we Indians accepted it, without validating it. Read "The Myth of Aryan Invasion" by David Frowley for exact and accurate facts.

We did not have Maxmuller or a David Frawley to give to the world an one sided view about India. North Indians and Westerners hardly know the great cultural history of India. What they think is that the whole of India is Aryavarta thinking the Indo-Gangetic plain is everything in India least realising the fact that there was a great nation, rich language and a great religious tradition beyond the Cavery delta of the South India. How many people in India knows the Tamil grammarian Tholkappiyanar who describes what comprised of South India without any exaggeration. The Sangam poets told only what they saw and not what they thought unlike the Vedic Pandits who created a permanent imbalance in the Indian society.The sad thing is, the entire North India and the Western society are deprived of the great philosophical, sociological literatures of the South India and caught with Vedic Maya. The entire Vedic Maya gripped and crippled the society with superstitious beliefs and influenced many south Indian languages with rapid Sanskritisation. Though Sankrit is not a indigenous language it influenced many Indigenous languages of the Dravidian land. At the same time Sanskrit borrowed the entire structure of the Dravidian language.The entire Sanskrit language , Vedic religion and the Sanskrit literature gave the North Indian a inherent superioty complex among the Brahmins and the north Indian Hindus. This made them to discriminate the Dravidian people from time immemorial. Least they realise that the core of the Indian cultural heritage and spirit lies only in South India.

Dravidian you forgot Rev. Fr. Caldwell, G U Pope, Fr. Besky and others who have propogated the Tamil ideas to the whole world. It has been proved that Tamil is "Semmozhi" and the sanskrit is a dead and defunkt language.

The credit of uniting the so-called Akhand Bharat in to one country goes to the British. not to Hinduism or Hindi and Aryans always keep shouting. Tamil is a classical language compared to Hindi.
