Milwaukee Bucks centre Andrew Bogut top-scored for Australia with 23 points, while Brad Newley led a three-point attack with 16 as the Boomers shot 64 percent from behind the arc.
"We played a European and world powerhouse ... we played a very good game of basketball," Australian coach Brian Goorjian said.
"Everybody is talking about the USA..., we're in a tournament and now we get to play the best team in the world and have a swing at the big dog. I'm confident we are going to go out there and play ball."
With Croatia winning an early match against Iran 91-57, Australia remained in fourth place in the group with a three win, two loss record while Lithuania retained top spot at 4-1.
Australia jumped out to a 28-14 lead at the end of the first period and extended that to 55-29 with a 19-0 run in the second as the Boomers were never threatened the rest of the way.
Six Australians scored in double figures, while forcing the disciplined Lithuanians into 25 turnovers while handing out 21 assists to their opponents 12.
"We just went out there and played our game and played with pride," Bogut said.
"We feel if we play the way we can play, play free, we will do alright."
Kristof Lavrinovic led Lithuania with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Denver Nugget Linas Kleiza scored 12 for the losers.
