Dubai, July 5: Australia were fined on Saturday for maintaining a slow over-rate during their dramatic one-run victory over the West Indies in the fourth ODI in St Kitts.

ICC match referee Roshan Mahanama imposed the fine after stand-in skipper Michael Clarke's side was ruled to be one over short of its target when time allowances were taken into consideration.

In accordance with the ICC Code of Conduct regulations governing over-rate penalties, Clarke -- in his first ODI as captain - was fined 10 per cent of his match fee while his team-mates will have five per cent of their match fees deducted.

ICC rule governing over-rate penalties states that all the players are fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time with the captain fined double that amount.

Australia had already pocketed the five-match series 4-0 with the last match scheduled for tomorrow in St Kitts.
