BCCI president N Srinivasan said the ball is in Sahara's court and that BCCI is waiting for a reply from their side.
“BCCI has responded positively within the framework of its rule. It is not possible to create an exception because observation of the regulations is important for the integrity of the league,” said Srinivasan during a media address on Monday.
Unwilling to reveal the specifics of the meeting, Srinivasan said that as per the rules Sahara’s Pune Warriors can seek a replacement for Yuvraj Singh.
BCCI may even reportedly approach some other franchises to convince them to trade a few players with Pune Warriors.
“Issues that were raised by Sahara were placed before the working committee today and without going into the specifics of the decision taken during the meeting, I would say that the issues are private and would not like to discuss them in public,” said the BCCI president.
Sahara India, main sponsor of Indian cricket team, had earlier withdrawn its sponsorship of the national team and also put IPL team Pune Warriors' plans on hold.
