Dear Sir,Why we citizens fail to understand
Election commission asked BJP to withdraw Varun from Pilibhit, but the same EC keep mum on Sonia's statement of Maut ka Saudagar. Even yesterday our great Home Minister
EC Members are qualified to be AICC working committee members.
If anyone has their mind in right place, the they will distance themselves from Varun, because not only people from the minority community lives in India, but we NRI's and PIO's also live abroad. And if he get the same treatment as fellow human beings are getting in India by the hands of BJP and other fundamentalist organisations, then we will be doomed. No one in the world would like us. Some pathatic thinkers habitual liars are daily commenting against fellow human beings, who have neither committed any act of terror or criminality, but they are being trteated as very low life like persons. This is not right of us, we Hindu's are just and God loving people, but the hate idelogy of the BJP and its ilks is like spitting on us. These guys are a blot on India and on humanity.
There is no greater travesty of justice than the order od the Election Commission in putting Varun to the axe while ignoring such people as Antulay, Sanjay Dutt. Sajjan Singh Tytler and other such people who had been party to much greater communal action than this young boy who may have inadvertently overshot the mark. Where were these people who (Sonia Ji) and others who did not raise a fingure when Rajiv said on communal riots in Delhi that such things normally happen when a big tree falls. This is creditable that Varun is keeping his cool in the face of grave injustice and persecution and fighting a brave battle. The BJP must continue to support Varun. It is well that it has asked him to ensure restraint but for what the Election Commission has done to him he deserve the sympathy of not only BJP but the whole country.

The current EC includes a person who is there inspite of an advice from the current CEC for his removal for being partisan so how can the EC hope to have any action taken on its advice. As for Varun's speech he should be careful that being secular means being neutral to every religion (which sadly only the BJP understands) and not appeasing the minorities and humiliating the Hindus because they have already been divided on the basis of caste..All the parties should understand the meaning of the word secular before coming out as the messiahs of secularism in this country and justifying every opportunistic alliance on the grounds of secularism...I know its a little off track from the topic but this is what our current politics has come to.

How come EC overlooked M. Karunanidhi's speech over the years abusing Hindus. Do they have any guts to act on MK ?
When the BJP as a party has disowned its speech, how can it own him up as a Candidate ? If the Party felt that the CD was doctored, then why the hell it disowned Varun's speech ? It has been the norm today for anyone to be caught on camera to say that the tape is doctored. At this moment, one should appreciate the Bangaru and Judev who plainly said that they did accept money and the tapes were not doctored. But, Varu is a different kettle of fish altogether. It is very clear that the BJP has too many stands on a issue to confuse the people.
BJP said it disown the speech( which is there in the CD ). It own Varun as candidate as the CD is doctored/tampered. It is the EC with out any effort, tagged Varun. This will just lead to a point where someone will hand over a CD saying that otherone talked this so punish him. Don't you know the technology using which you can make anything?
The point is that Varun has never denied that he made that hate speech. Infact he has owned up the hate speech except for a few words and says those only were doctored. He did not say that the whole CD is doctored. Therefore, I am amused when when you say that the whole CD is tampered. This is another concoction.
When somebody says a CD or Tape is tampered with or doctored, it does not necessarily mean that the entire CD/Tape is modified. Even if minor changes are made on the CD, it can be said it was tampered with. In this case, he claims that in a recording of his speech some simple expressions were replaced by some hateful ones. This is not impossible, but whether the tape is tampered with can be ascertained only by a forensic expert and that is what the BJP and Varun are asking.
At last, the BJP has taken a firm decision which many people are likely to disapprove and others approve. Already, the party has earned the "communal" tag. So what is there to lose if one more is added? By, the way, the EC claims that Varun is guilty. How could they decide before conducting a forensic examination, particularly after Varun has claimed that it was doctored? There still are some more questions. Where was the CD hibernating during the 12 days after the speech was recorded on the 5th and its expose on the 17th? Why was that there was no report of even a minor protest in Pilibhit until the contents of the CD ware shown on the visual media?
Mr N.V.Shankar, you seem to try very hard to show that Mr Varun is innocent.You are forgetting that majority of Indians are not fools.We can judge ourselves.After studying the CDs , the EC has declared that the CDs are not doctored and EC has condemned in clear words Varun's speeches of hatred against Muslims .Isn't yet time for you to stop insisting about your fixations about the CDs and wasting your time to convince others what you think. You cannot support a philosophy of cruelty or you do not want peace in India?
I can allege the same about all those people who are crucifying Varun Gandhi for the alleged speech of his that they trying hard to prevent him from contesting the elections. I am not trying to defend Varun. Just as it is possible that he might have made that speech it is also possible that the CD could be doctored or tampered with. From what I had seen on the visual media, the picture was of very low quality and it would be very difficult for ordinary people to ascertain its genuineness without a proper forensic examination. That is why I wonder how the EC could make a judgement. If the CD is genuine, why should there be any objection to a forensic examination? That would settle the issue. Even Maneka Gandhi's joining the BJP camp was very inconvenient for the Congress and the Nehru-Gandhi family. Then, how can they accept another from the same family joining their opposition and becoming popular?
Hellow everyone!!When anyone says anything against muslims in India the everyone is so furious and no one cares for the sentiments of the Hindus. Why is Varun Gandhi wrong? In what way is he wrong? They say it is immoral, intolerant for the democratic country like India!!!! well all these mulayams,mayawati(behenji), Sonia,Rahul, they do nothing for the muslims but are more then happy to manipulate the muslims for their votes, Why hasn't the muslim community developed in the 50 Years of congress rule? As a lawyer, guilt needs to be proven BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT. Everyone knows how easy it is to doctor audio and images - anyone can do it with Photoshop and Wave file editors on their home PC. This is a travesty, not for Varun, but for the integrity of the Electoral Commission. Navin Chawla, pro-Congress sympathiser and a dear friend of Raul Vinci, Priyanka, and Sonia Maino, is clearly spreading his wings in the EC. In no court of the land is a man guilty till proven innocent, except in the kangaroo court that is the EC. In electing Chawla to the CEC, and in censuring Varun without properly considering the evidence, the EC has tarnished its own reputation, and raises questions about its integrity.

How come many people are supporting Varun as a messiah of Hindus? They say what Varun has said is correct, but Varun says that the CD has been doctored. If it has been doctored then varun has not said anything. He does not have the balls to stand by what he said. And BJP is dissacociating itself from its rmarks. If people think that what Varun said was justified, then why is BJP dissaciating itself from the speech he made? This is all nautanki in it highest form. The problem is just votes. Democracy is about winning elections and there should be no restriction during election as the elected MPs in Parliament are empowered to amend all the Indian laws including The Constitution of India. In fact election to some extend is to adjust the govt to the changing mood of the people of the nation. To elaborate with an example the had Mrs Indira Gandhi passed a law which makes it criminal offense to speak against Emergency during election and banned anyone doing it, India would have been a different country!!! So even if Mr Varun has spoken the way he did it must be due to reasons specific to Pilibhit, which should be allowed during election.
Only people who understands what is going on will react to anything.On what other issues has Sonia reacted.Other than 'befitting'reply to pakistan on a daily basis I have not heard her give an opinion about anything of national interest.

Varun Gandhi six years back took a dig at Vinay Katiyar for his hate speeches. Now to win an election he is doing the same himself.
How can India as a nation move forward with people like Varun even getting a chance to be election after all that he has said. Shame on our democracy and above all election commision who doesnt even have the power to take him out after all this provocative religious comments. He should be in jail for making such comments let alone compete for a seat to parliament. Sadly we are filling up our parliament with criminals and rapists. When will this end! Why stop at Varun? Why convicted are given ticket by congress, SP, RJD. why did upa take support of convicted person like Shibu Soren to get the nuclear deal thru. Mr.Ramdev,Let us not jump the gun. It has not even been proved that those tapes are genuine and hence why should we jump to conclusions. Second - Let there be consistency. Let first the EC jail Sonia for "maut ka saudagar", antulay for his 26/11 speeches and if proven that varun has spoken those words then take action. Remember that Sonia made the speech in a election rally, while varun was not even in an election rally but a community meeting.
This is just a gimmick to make Varun popular as nobody knew who he is and it does not make any difference Varun you have made your name just for a while after some time nobody will remember you and you will be a loser in life as you have played a dirty game of playing with the emotions of innocent people. BJP has taken a right decision. Enough of appeasment, all citizens of India are equal and by that yardstick, we must all have same set of laws, equal rights. Haj subsidy was started by NDA and govt spends more money on the various hindu pilgrimages (remember the Amarnath yatra agitation was about free land to the yatra organisers), pension is not just for madarsa teachers but for all teachers, foreign policy supports peaceful settlement of the Palestenian problem, it does not support Hamas or other terrorists, hindus have more scholarships than muslims, reservations for minorities has just been started in AP, for Hindus has been on and increased systematically over 60 years all India, there is no communal budgeting, there is no greater concern for mosques than temples, polygamy for muslims should hurt muslims rather than be seen as a favour, there is no family planning forced on any religion, not even hindus, Jamia is as much a muslim only univ as BHU is a hindu only one, article 370 is for Kashmir, not for muslims and it is because of the special circumstances in which we got Kashmir, Sachar committee does not mean muslim appeasement, head count of muslims in army or other public spheres is a sociological survey unless you feel that muslims are not Indians. Madarsa education equivalent to CBSE is the one correct example of appeasement.

We do not agree with or support Varun Gandhi's views/language but at the same time, we do not believe the election commission has a right to suggest Varun's removal from BJP list. If CEC thinks it to be correct, then it must also suggest the same for so many criminals from other parties. Varun has not not been found guilty yet while many others have actually been found to be guilty by our courts. No double standards should be tolerated. Let election commission ban/debar anyone/any party which promotes/encourages voting on the lines of castes or religions. Let election commission ban anyone who has been found guilty by any court irrespective of stay etc granted by the higher courts.
