Lucknow On the birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose on January 23, the BJP has planned to campaign against the sub-quota for Muslim OBCs within the 27 per cent OBC quota. Maha-aartis will be held in all constituencies of UP as part of a one-day campaign “Majhabi aarakshan hatao-samvidhan bachao.”

The aartis would be performed before the photographs of Bose, BR Ambedkar and “Bharatmata”. “The UPA government’s decision based on religion is against Constitution and BJP will protest against it aggressively,” senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said. BJP workers would burn copies of the notification regarding 4.5 per cent quota for Muslim OBCs, he added.

Naqvi said the BJP would organise road shows and rallies across the state on January 31 to highlight the issue.
