Banning us will have grave consequences: Bajrang Dal

New Delhi, October 9: Amidst growing demands for a ban on Bajrang Dal, the Hindu outfit on Thursday warned that any such move would have ‘grave consequences’ for the government politically as there is ‘no legal ground’ for such an action.

Bajrang Dal convenor Prakash Sharma insisted that his outfit could not be compared with SIMI as is being done by some political parties.

"The SIMI carries out outright hate campaigns which are anti-India and anti-people while the Bajrang Dal only has the motive to defend Hindu rights," he said while reacting to demands for imposing a ban on the Dal.

"When the Centre is incapable of collecting enough evidence to ban SIMI, what evidence you think they may have against us," Sharma said, adding ‘in case they ban us it will have grave consequences for the government politically.’

Banning Bajrangv/s hanging Afzal by Ramdas on 12 Oct 2008

Exactly what Afzal Guru's followers are saying about hanging Afzal.. Does Govt act with a firm hand on both cases or what ?

There is plenty of evidence by Jeevan on 11 Oct 2008

Does this threat not serve enough evidence. However this group claims, but in no way bajrangdal can be considered a representation of hindus or hindu values. Majority of the hindus are sick and tired of the routine vandalism caused by them in BJP ruled states.. be it valentine day or navratri. These are just giving Hindus ,which are inherently peaceful and humane, a bad name world wide by massacring innocent muslims/cristians.

Traitors of HINDUSTHAN want to BAJ PRO INDIAN Organisations by NAEEEM on 10 Oct 2008

ITS LIKE BANNING CATHOLICS AND POPE FROM VATICAN.....well Bajrang Dhal is defending the coutry from antinational elements who are on verge of destroying our TRADITION AND CULTURE.These members of certain parties who want to ban VHP and BAJRANGDAl are traitors of natins which existed during ISLA and british RULE OF INDIA.WE SHOULD STOP IT THIS TIME.

Save India Ban Terror by Sooraj Lal on 10 Oct 2008

There has to be a ban on terror groups like Badrang Dal. Every body has seen massacre in Kandmaal and the open show of arms by their activists in Agra. I don't think so that now any more evidence is required to consolidate the stand that this is one of the terror group working round the clock to break India into fractions.Government should not bow down to their warnings that they will disrupt the normalcy as the government has the power to protect India from these anti social elements and we support the stand taken to ban this terrorist outfit.

who r the terrorists? by milano on 10 Oct 2008

the Bajrang Dal leadership admits that murderous rampaging mobs that attacked Christians in a wave of terror attacks were its members, all naturally Hindu. Thousands of terrorists, all Hindu. Also in contrast, the Gujarat CM admits that murderous rampaging mobs that attacked Muslims in a wave of terror attacks were “the people of Gujarat” to whom he had given (abdicated, actually) “the right to do justice” (read the power to murder, rape, burn, loot), all of them targeting Muslims therefore in that situation naturally Hindu. Thousands of terrorists, all Hindu

All religions in our country are surviving due to Hindu's generousity by Ankur on 10 Oct 2008

This will be the Hindus' greatest suppression. Imagine the scenario when majority of them will be out on streets!!!

Defending hindu rights by Shyam M on 10 Oct 2008

Does defending hindu rights imply killing of christians? I am a hindu and I feel sad when christian missionaries lure poor hindus to convert to their faith. But that does not give me a right to kill christians but imposes duty on me to treat my hindu brethren well so that do not fall prey to allurements of the church. We must look inwards and analyse why hindus are converting. The answers are not far. How many hindu NGOs are there to take care of poor and infirm hindus? Do we treat our poor hindu particularly from low caste with respect? If not, tell me why such a hindu will not embrace a religion that takes care of him? Instaed of denouncing others and killing them we must sit up and analyse and take action. BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BAJRANG DAL SHOULD BE BANNED.

Banning Bajrang DAL by Sam on 10 Oct 2008

Would not the appropriate healine bw Banning us would have Political consequences. Or would that be too honest

Hindus too have a right to defend their religion. by Ayyappa on 10 Oct 2008

Good job Bhajrang Dal, keep up the good work. If the case of raping the woman is correct I deplore the act. You may protest to the full but refrain from harming women and killing people. Do not harm the dignity of women. Just as the Christians and Muslims defend their religion, we Hindus too have the same right. We canoot be mute spectators when they convert every one to other reiligion. Keep defending our culture and religion.

BD bann by janh on 11 Oct 2008

B.Dal is not representative of Hindhu people in India.BD is just a goonda group needs to be banned immeadiatly. They have no right to kill, rape burning churches . India is ruled by perfect laws and judicial system.Don't be a fool. If there is criminal act, forced conversion let the authorities take action not the goondas. It will be disaster if India allows that kind of act. How many christians are converting to Hunduism from Western countries ,US,Uk Germany etc. What had done (offered ) to become a Hindhu?.Many thousands are living in western countries they did recevied the 'visa' to live there. Did these countries asked you to become christian. Don't be an ingnorant. open your eyes and look for the truth.Don't live inside the box anymore.Everybody have the right tp choose any relogion, faith and live accordingly.Nobody can question that.IF FEW PEOPLE CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY THAT MEANS THE HINDHU RELIGION WILL BE VANISHED FROM EARTH?.iS THAT SIMPLE?.sO THERE IS NOE VALUE FOR HINDHU RELEIGION?.aNSWER YOURSELF.god BLESS YOU.Don't forgot....GOD isso powerfull that human can not even think? If God punish no ody can stand ?

Bajrang dal and SIMI by Lal Kishen on 10 Oct 2008

Bajrang dal has become another SIMI in its outlook. Advani is responsible for the transformation of Bajrang dal from a social organization to one of minority bashing.

Ban not justified by sampath on 10 Oct 2008

The government will be committing a serious mistake if it bans bajrang dal. It must shed its pseudo secular attitude and try to equate hindus with muslims and other minorities on all issues. Simi is an anti national, strongly pro muslim and jihadi organisation with global anti india connections and banned islamic terrorist organisations. Bajrang dal is at its worst indulges in property damage, which can be controlled by police and the courts and judiciary. Simi indulges in brainless bomb attacks, killing innocents, women and children and has vowed to kill all hindus. It is the responsibility of the government to take effective action when issues related to conversion, abuse of hindu gods and anti national propaganda is brought to their notce by bajrang dal. The media, both print and electronic must first report the facts and reserve analysis to the editorial columns. The media is also failing in its duty if it hides the truth and does biased reporting.

BAN Bajrang DAL/SIMI/RSS etc by Truth on 10 Oct 2008

Mangalore violence by Sangh outfits13 October 2006 Baba Budhangiri and cow slaughter are the two profitable issues in the hands of the Sangh Parivar in Karnataka these days. It has successfully used these two issues to fan communal tensions generally in the state and particularly in the coastal region where it has stronger roots compared to the rest of the state. Fortunately for the Sangh this time it has a government of its liking in the state in which BJP is an important partner. Naturally all the evil designs and criminal activities of the Sangh and its constituents enjoy fullest support and protection from the present government. The trouble in Mangalore started on 4th October 2006 with a bandh call given jointly by Bajrang Dal and the Hindu Yuva Sena. The reason stated was a vehicle alleged to be illegally carrying cows near Kudroli Mangalore which is said to have refused to obey orders when Sangh activists led by the local Bajrang Dal unit signaled it to stop.

Ban bajrang dal and VHP by Sharma A.P on 10 Oct 2008

anti Hindu establishment wants to prevent Hindu Unity by Hook or Crook by Singha on 10 Oct 2008

The real target of those who are asking for ban on Bajrang dal is Hindu Unity. Bajrang Dal is politically trying to mobilse Hindus on Hindu platform. muslims and christians who do communal voting and congress kind of parties that use Hindu divisions is not liking this. Comparing Bajrang Dal to SIMI is a heinous crime.

Bajrang dal should be banned by an INDIAN on 10 Oct 2008

Condition Of Hindus In India-3 by Sonu Anand on 10 Oct 2008

Dhule: Peace is yet to be established in Dhule even after 48 hours. Most of the Hindus are still under terror and staying awake in the night to protect themselves from attacks by fanatic Muslims. In ‘Veet-bhatti’ area, ‘jihadi’ Muslims burnt alive a Hindu leading to increasing tension in the area. (Hindus! You have to see members of your brethren burnt alive by jihadi Muslims only because of impotent Government. How long are you going to tolerate such oppression? Muslim cruelty did not spare even policemen in Bhiwandi. Therefore, time has now come to repeat valiant history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and squash such jihadi attacks – editor).

Condition Of Hindus In India-2 by Sonu Anand on 10 Oct 2008

In the rule of Congress Hindus, Hindu Saints and Hindu leaders are attacked. Hindus sentiments are hurt on the issues like Amarnath Pilgrim, Ram Setu etc. For these we should start praying and chanting for 10 minutes not only for the defeat of Congress in the coming election but also to destroy anti-Hindu and anti-nation Congress, Communist, anti-Hindus and pseudo Hindus.

Condition of Hindus- Haraamy by chalukiya on 12 Oct 2008

We are killing our Hindu saints and blaming Christians and Muslims everyone knows what is happening don't try to fool the public. Hindu saint killed by Hindu's only to creat all this drama ... you bas....rd

Condition Of Hindus In India-1 by Sonu Anand on 10 Oct 2008

Police who could not bring riots under control even after 2 days, were going round in Hindu dominated areas in the morning and advising them to sit at home, later in the afternoon, they advised them to gather in the chowks so that they would be able to give a fight as Muslims were likely to attack again

Ban the misnomer! by Nayaman on 10 Oct 2008

Bajrang Dal is named after Hanumanji, noted for his devotion and valour for moral causes! This organisation which believes in violent actions only for all fanciful causes is a slur on the fairname of Bajrang bali!Hence, the Govt. should ban it.

Ban Bajrang Dal! by Nyayman on 10 Oct 2008

The whole world knows that Bajrang Dal is the militant outfit of VHP,a sangh parivar unit!It was created to protect the processions of Sadhu members of VHP to Ayodhya in 1984.Its slogan is"Seva, Sraksha, Sanakriti"( Service, safety and culture)! It has 13,00,000 members, 2,500 "akhads"(similar to RSS' "shkhas)where military training is given to its workers. Its record sheet till date is full of viloent actions-demolition of Babri Masjid, cultural policing and vandalism .Its members were caught making bombs in Malegaon and recently at Kanpur. In Thenlkas and Thane their members were nabbed for bomb blasts. Many organisations here and abroad have demanded its ban.Their heinous acts inOrissa and Karnataka have led Indians abroad to hang their heads in shame.SIMI is no more a "Banned" organisation.Delhi HC has lifted that ban centre has got stay oly from the apex court.Hence, to prove their credibility as regards "secularism" , the centre should ban it.

Oh Media... by Rohit Gupt on 10 Oct 2008

You media guys are very smartly biased. It always seems that you print with a political affiliation. What would otherwise explain the use of the violent imagery you have used beside this news line. Is the guy in the picture Mr. Sharma. Was there fire all around when you spoke to him.It is true, media is one of the most important factors in fight against terrorism. Showing truth is one thing. Instigating people, is another. May God provide you and others in your field the sense of sound judgement.
