Kolkata, August 08 As China celebrated the inaugural ceremony of the Olympics with much pomp and grandeur, Kolkata’s China Town echoed similar joyous notes. Thousands of people having their roots in China gathered on Friday to celebrate the occasion organised by the Chinese Club. The event kicked off with a dragon dance and a live telecast of the inaugural ceremony displayed on a giant screen. The venue looked like a bright red spot with all the members dressed in red t-shirts. The Chinese Consul General and the Deputy Consul General were also present to be a part of this memorable experience.
