"My rituals today were guided by the extensive hours at the studio, a major portion of which were in front of the make up mirror, getting the face plastered with silicon," the actor said in a recent post on his blog.
"It took 4 hours for it all to come on and another hour to take it off. But may I say the results were simply phenomenal," the 66-year-old actor wrote.
The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Harman Baweja in key roles.
The star is relying on a team of make-up artistes from abroad for his look in the film.
The film is being directed by R Balki of ‘Cheeni Kum’ fame. The production of the film went on floors on March 2.
"The team of make up artists flown in from Los Angeles and carrying huge and important credentials were exemplary in their job. Professional to the core and committed to the last brush of paint on the face," Bachchan wrote.
‘Paa’, a film that Bachchan terms as an endearing address by Abhishek (Bachchan) to his father, is a part of the co-production deal between AB Corp and Reliance Big Entertainment.

Mr Bachan, it is for the audience to decide whether it is phenomenal or flop. This guy tries to belittle everyone else’s success other than his family members. What more to expect from a Bollywood guy!! Seems like his bahu is in a for a big shock after seeing the glory which Frieda Pinto is garnering at international level. Even after running behind directors and studio the bahu only managed an extra role in pink panther!!
Yes, your are right. I used to be a big amitabh fan. But after his shameful reaction to Slumdog, i have lost all respect for him. Its time he retired with dignity. (just look at Rajesh Khanna, Dilip Kumar etc. They are still held in awe and respect, unlike bachchan)

Dear S It seems that you belong to those ignorant bollywood fans who will accept any stupidity if they are from your demi gods. Grow up man, don’t just accept this filmi craps, they will act in real life also. AB is th most overated guy, just because hindi movies have a wider viewership he is hogging the limelight, otherwise he is just a formula guy.
