'Big B to quit Mumbai, if Raj's charges are true'

Really what Amitabh done for Maharashtra. If he is serving for UP then he must leave maharashta immidiatelty.

If the entire Maharashtrians residing in North India and outside the stae of Maharashtra are treated badly how Mr. Raj Thackerey shall feel. He is spreading the venom of regionalism. Mr. Amar Singh and Mr. Big B should treat him politically and not by regionalism. There is no need to give him any statistics as to what Big B has done, Who is raj to raise all these about a "MAHANAYAK " like Big B ?

I think Raj Thackrey's comments should be dismissed with the contempt they deserve. It is just a ploy to create a vote-bank and carve out a turf out of Shiv Sena's territory. If people were to be confined to the land of their birth, the whole world shall be a poorer place. Contrast it with the developed world, which readily accepts our people and make us complain about brain drain. Yes, resistance to a chnage in demographic profile of a place is invariably resisted by local politicians from Assam to Kashmir. The deluge of people from outside was also commented upon by Delhi's CM who was forced to go backfoot. The answer lies not in throwing people out but creating more job opportunities in States like Bihar and UP.

Mr Amar Singh is missing the point. The main reason for this is that he does not understand marathi. In his speach Raj Thackarey only gave an example to exhort Marathi manoos to work for his people. He merely said that if a man as great as Amitabh Bachhan can still work for UP, during this he gave those examples which I believe were appropriate, then I who is very small compared to Amitabh can not work for my own state and people, he said. Where has he criticised Amitabh. In fact he has praised him by saying that he has still not forgotten his roots while in Maharashtra marathi manoos is ignoring his own people. What is wrong in that. I have been a proud Maharashtrian Bihari who was born and brought up in a town bordering Bihar and Bengal. I have also been witness to the anti Bengali campaign launched by Biharis during the phase when Shri Nehru carried out his ligustic division of states. We spoke Hindi at home occasionally reverting to marathi. Out side we spoke only Hindi and Bengsli and that too fluently. It is not the inetellectuals from Bihar and UP that are a proble but the Bidi Jalaile type of people that have moved in hordes. Even Chief Misnister of Delhi had made similar statements. It is another matter that she was forced to withdraw. Biharis and Uttar Pradeshis are great people but not the type that abounds Mumbai today and certainly not Amar Singh and Abu Azmi types who threatens to import twenty thousand goons from Azamgarh. How musch of this has been reported by media. Let us discuss Abu Azmi and Amar Singh for a chane and their contribution.

What's this shit; Amar Singh speaking for Bachchan? Doesn't Amitabh have a mouth of his own? Or does he think himself to be so elevated that he needs spokespersons to speak on his behalf?

Being a Retired Defence Officer I am grieved at this kind of Regionalism whether in Maharashtra,Karnataka or TN. I really dont understand how these incompoop politicians stir up such Regional fervour. Where is Nationalism and is Sare Jahan se acha Hindustaan Hamara only a naara. Mumbai is Mumbai more due to the contributions of the Gujaratis, the Sindhis, the Punjabis, the Marwaris and the like . Take them out and what you are left with is the Marathi Manoos who wants a Govt. job rather than slog it out where the action is.What really surprises me is the inaction of the impotent ruling party.

All the Thackerays are nothing but a bunch of goons keeping Maharashtra at ransom. It is the weekness of the government that has given rise to Thackeray family. Where is the income tax department which never cares to ask them haow they accumulated so much wealth ?Bal thackeray targetted the minorities for his political gains now his nephew is doing the same by targetting the North Indians.

Dear Sir, Can the contributions made by Maharashtrians be counted against the non-Maharashtrians. If so, who has contributed more for making it a Commercial Capital of India? Let those brave leaders of Maharashtrians make an introspection the befool the masses.

All things are bogus and nonsense whether Amar Singh is advocacing for Bacchan Family or Raj is advocacing for the sake of Mahrashtrain Pride. One thing is quiet clear if we want to save our National Pride we must not talk about regionalism otherwise there will be hell all over India.

Let us face the fact. Having lost U.P. Amarsingh and his cronies tried to gain foothold in Mumbai. Laloo joined them as he has also lost Bihar. They made provocative public statements. When Raj responded, all Hindi media sided with Amarsing and his cronies. All this has increased stature of Raj. Amarsing and Laloo - Do they have one?

This is all started by MR AMAR SING the so called friend of Amitabh AND AMITABHS WIFE jAYA BACHHAN.Amar sing helped amitabh in financial crises and now he is extracting his price . Jaya is brainwashed by Amarsing . I think Amitabh will come down on ground and choose his desicions properly. It wont be Maharashtra's loss if Amitabh decides to go away from Maharashtra. neither Raj nor Amitabh are greater beings than land of INDIA.

Either Amar Singh should enter Bollywood Or Amitabh should enter politics.Amitabh does look FIT EVERYTIME walking with a cunning Amar Singh. Why Bachhan PARIVAR does not leave AMAR Singh/Samajwadi Party and hire a nice looking LADY-PRESS SECRETARY who can very well speak for them?

Amitabh Bachann is a very respected and dignified figure all over the world and true icon in his own field. He may have a company in Amar Singh but that does not make him a bad or corrupt person. All his business, enterprises are in Mumbai...how can somebody can think he has not done enough for Maharashtra or done more for UP? How can somebody question what somebody has done and what somebody has not done? Is it a mandotary duty to help? Yes, it can only be a natural characteristic of a true actor and true person. People like Raj or whatever should think what they say first. What has he done for Maharashtra besides creating this controversy? Just being a leader of MNS does not mean anything. Show by example, gather credibility and then speak. Raj has no credibility. Indian Media is again irresponsible to hype this thing up. Yet again!

I think Raj Thackeray needs to get admitted to a mental asylum.Marathi Manoos, is definitely beyond his comprehension. Mr. Bacchan is more maharashtrian than he is. He needs to think of better ways to get political mileage.

The debate is not about Big B's contribution to Maharashtra. Peronally, I am tired of seeing him everywhere and sick of absurd amount of hero worship and adulation, which should perhaps have been shared with other eminent actors. Why should he be anything in a debate that is largely cultural integration issue, being raised by a thug filled party for all wrong reasons, masking the real problem, which is one of national integration, cultural divide and I hate to say it, a North South divide.

Amitabh Bachchan should not enter into any sort of discussion with MNS hoodlums. It is high time that an alternative loction which is more friendly for all than Mumbai be sought ,developed and promoted by GOI for Industrial and commercial establishments.MNS like organizations should not be allowed to black-mail the administration , enterprises and common citizens.
