Pune, April 4: A body kept in the morgue of the government hospital in Pune was found beheaded, police said on Friday.

Nasir Shaikh's body was sent for post-mortem since the TB patient had died within 24 hours of admission to the Sasson hospital on Wednesday night.

It was kept in the morgue after post-mortem. When the 25-year-old rickshaw driver's relatives came to claim his body the next day, they found it beheaded.

The authorities had a tough time handing over the body to the angry relatives of Shaikh, who took its possession later in the evening.
