Ahmedabad, May 16 A bomb threat was received at the Gujarat High Court on Friday morning, sending the police and other security agencies into a tizzy. Later the call turned out to be a hoax, and it was back to work as usual at the court. The Sola police have registered a case and further investigations are on in the case.

P A Prasad, the Principal Secretary of court received a call around 11.45 am that a bomb has been placed in the chief court of the High Court. The caller then disconnected the call.

The court room was immediately vacated and internal security officials cordoned off the area. Later, the police along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and the Dog Squad rushed to the spot.

Checking at the court went on for more than two hours. Top police officers from Sector I and the Detection of Crime Branch also rushed to the high court to take stock of the situation.

Later, the call was traced to a PCO near a house on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway near Gota.

Joint Commissioner of Police, Sector I, Satish Sharma said, "We are trying to trace the person who made the call from the PCO. We have questioned some people near that booth. But, as the call was very brief, nobody has any inputs."'

Friday was the last day before the High Court closed for the summer vacation.
