Police received a call at around 8:15 am that explosives were placed at New Delhi House building on Barakhamba road, a stone's throw away from the spot where a bomb exploded on Saturday evening.
The call was declared a hoax, a senior police official said. The 12-storeyed building houses several offices, those of Punjab Indian Bank and several travel agencies, where around 1,000 people report for work everyday.
People were evacuated as bomb disposal squads were rushed to the spot. The building was searched but no explosives were found, the official said.
A large number of office-goers were seen standing around the busy Barakhamba road intersection.
Police have received at least five hoax bomb calls so far since the Saturday blasts in the national capital which claimed over 20 lives.
On Saturday night, two calls were received that bombs had been placed in Merina Hotel and on Parliament Street.
Two more calls were received from Madhuban Chowk and Paschim Vihar yesterday but searches did not yield anything.
Police have received about 70 bomb hoax calls this year.

I blame the Indian Politicians like Uma Bharti, advani, ashok sighal for whatever is happening around, they are the one who is encouraging what is so called "Terrorism" . They themselves are not united and that gives an encouragement for any man to take advantage. Terrorist are also human beings, they are risen because our country does not give equal rights to every individuals, and our politics are the bad example for them. Why can't our higher responsible authorities be one and deal the problems of each one, why do they have to give rise to such a shameful deeds? Our politicians are sleeping and now its high time for them to wake up otherwise it could be the worst results in future.Ask them to be united and fight back or stand up for every disaster or attacks that every common man is facing.
How can a book set in battlefield, and an imaginary god convincing a human to give up conscience and kill his brothers be guidance? Is it not paradox that a book that mandates murder of sudras who read vedas held as a beacon of guidance by some? Who do these deranged individuals think they are fooling?
After every such blast, comes question is India secure? Or is the pseudo secularism of BJP paying pack? Has India respected basic rights of humanity for minorities? Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi stated that he informed Prime Minister about the bombing the question is how did he knew about these bombings two weeks before this statement leads to suspect and pointed that Is Modi responsible for the bombings? Why he failed to bust the terror network?

everytime there is a blast, there is a phony email claiming responsibility. after ahmedabad blasts, the police claimed to have cracked the case, however so called indian mujaheedin resurfaced. does that mean the ahmedabad blast suspect were scapegoated by police? or is it in interest of bjp, vhp and bajrang dal to have blasts months before election? why do blasts happen in bjp administered states only?

People making hoax calls should be booked under Terrorist act and imprisoned for 15 years
