London It is usually the women who suffer from make-up malfunctions on the Hollywood red carpet, but actor Bradley Cooper has proved that sometimes even the men can get the warpaint wrong.

Attending the premiere of his latest film 'Valentine's Day', the actor, who is dating superstar Renee Zellweger, appeared to have two toned skin, thanks to a botched fake tan, reported Daily Mail online.

Only 2/3rds of the 35-year-old's face appeared to be tanned, while his chin and neck were pale.

It appeared like Cooper had been rather heavy-handed when applying his fake tan, but when it came to the lower half of his face, perhaps he didn't want to put the products on his stubble.

While the 'Hangover' actor looked smart in a grey suit and blue shirt, his dapper outfit was overshadowed by his tanning disaster.

Cooper arrived alone on the red carpet, disappointing fans who were hoping to see his first public outing with Zellweger.

The couple have been dating since August, with the Academy winning actress staying with Cooper in Canada while he filmed 'The A-Team'.

But last night, he was in good company as he joined co-stars Jessica Alba, Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Garner at the glitzy premiere.
