Total revenue of the Bangalore-based company grew 15.4 per cent to Rs 1,247.4 crore during the quarter, as against Rs 1,080.5 crore year ago, the company said here this evening.
Britannia Managing Director Vinita Bali said the numbers are due to a healthy blend of volume, product mix, price and operational efficiencies apart from targeted marketing and promotion of existing brands.
"This concerted approach has helped us report a 130 basis points increase in our profit from operations. Overall, operational profit grew 49 per cent during the quarter," Bali said.
She added, "Our focus continues to be on commercialising consumption opportunities both in the bakery and dairy businesses."
During the quarter, the volume grew 6.5 per cent, while the rest was driven by pricing and operational excellence.
For the April-December period, consolidated sales rose to Rs 4,012.1 crore – growth of 19.1 per cent, while consolidated net zoomed to 43.5 per cent to over Rs 138 crore, Bali said.
