Los Angeles After thrilling audiences with her wild on-stage persona, pop star Britney Spears revealed her softer side, when she turned up at a children's hospital in Miami, taking time out of her packed tour schedule.

Spears, who is mother to two young sons, paid a a visit to Miami Children's Hospital on Saturday where she interacted with the young patients.

"She took pictures with the kids and gave them autographed pictures," hospital spokesperson Cristene Martinez was quoted as saying by ‘People’ magazine.

"The kids were so excited to meet Britney, and having her here was a great distraction for them," Martinez added.

The singer also reportedly made a donation to the hospital's 'Big Apple Clown Care Programme' which works with medically trained clowns, who visit the young patients on a regular basis and attend special events at the hospital.
