Mumbai, May 20: First things first. Ayesha Takia is not getting married any time soon. When the actress remained incommunicado for the last few weeks (phone calls went unanswered and she was nowhere to be seen), rumour mills churned out news of her wedding plans to restaurateur boyfriend Farhan Azmi. “Such tales are spun every two months,” says Takia. “I will definitely get married to Farhan, but not immediately. And when it happens, I’ll tell everyone.”

The secret behind Takia’s frequent trips to Goa, with boyfriend in tow, is now out. The bubbly actress is all set to turn entrepreneur. Along with Azmi, she will launch a chain of hotels. “Goa is our first destination. The hotel chain will be called Basilico House,” says the Dor girl. “It was Farhan’s dream to have a chain of hotels. Naturally, I wanted to be part of the venture.”

Thanks to the hotel chain, Ayesha is playing a new role altogether. “I am taking a keen interest in the interior decoration of the rooms, among other things,” she says.

Ayesha has been around for almost four years. But she has successfully managed to evade stories of link-ups and break-ups with co-stars. Apart from her steady affair with Azmi, she is still every inch a Mamma’s darling—mother Farheeda is not only a constant companion on the sets, but she also filters all her phone calls. “I am very close to my mother. My sister and Farhan are my only close friends,” says Takia, whose next film, E Niwas’s De Taali, releases next month.

Although she has delivered bummers at the box office, luck has always favoured Takia—-she has been roped in for Prabhu Deva’s Wanted Dead or Alive (opposite Salman Khan) and Nagesh Kukunoor’s Eight by Ten (opposite Akshay Kumar), apart from Pathshala with Shahid Kapoor.

Yet, surprisingly, the Socha Na Tha and Salaam-E-Ishq girl now plans to cut down on movie offers. “Now with the hotel business, I can’t manage more than three films a year,” says Takia, who recently opted out of Nikhil Advani’s production Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, where she was supposed to play an alien from Venus.

However, she diplomatically insists that films are not taking a backseat. “I opted out of this movie because the shooting got delayed by a month. It is an excellent film, and it is my loss. Besides, I willl continue to act even when I get married,” she says. “I am very excited to work with senior actors like Salman and Akshay. They have given so many hits and people flock to theatres to see them.”
