Cpm mp abdullakutty

Kannur CPM MP from Kannur, A P Abdullakutty, whose words of praise for Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi did not go down well with the party, said on Friday that his remarks were made with a "good intention of sparking debate on development".

In his reply to the explanation sought by CPM about his controversial comments giving "full marks" to Modi for his development model, Abullakutty said he stood by what he had said but made it clear he was "stiffly opposed to communal policies" of the chief minister.

The two-time Lok Sabha MP's comments at a meeting of expatriates in Dubai last month created a flutter in the party circles and the district committee sought an explanation was sought from him.

Abullakutty told the district party secretary that the media had focused only on what he had said about Modi's development model ignoring his firm rejection of the Gujarat chief minister's "communal policy".

Talking to a news channel later, Abdullakutty said he made the commonest with the good intention of sparking a debate on development at a time when the educated youth tend to vote for development.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit's three consecutive victories proved this, he said. In sharp contrast, even educated tribals in Jharkhand might not have voted for Sibu Soren, he said.

Abdullakutty had earlier embarrassed the party by performing namaaz openly by turning up at a Idgah in Kannur with some family members and by calling for an introspection on mode of protests like hartals.

Indian communists by RAMA D.N. on 23 Jan 2009

Abdullakuty's remarks about developments in Gujarat were not taken well in communists state , Kerala, that is obvious they do not believe in development of their state, because they are communists, always against the development. Look at W.B, Tripura and Kerala. No industrialist wants to go there. When they do not trust in the development of their own state., are they really for the nation. They must improve with time ,otherwise shall remain backward forever.

CPM's allergic to truth by Varinder on 20 Jan 2009

Why CPM MP Mr.Kutty has to speak the truth? Why he failed to take a leaf from the treatment meted out to Margaret Alva of Congress for speaking the truth. nevertheless Congress and CPM are Chip of the same bloc and birds of feather have to fly together. Mr. Abdullakutty, though lost the party but surely has a clear conscience in the eyes of the people.

Kudos by Indian on 19 Jan 2009

Well done Mr. Abdhullah Kutty for coming out of party bounds and airing your views towards a leader who is always been hated by your party. Good persons and good deeds should be appreciated irrespective of the partybhaji. It is a good sign that persons like Mr Kutty, Mr. Buddadeb and Mr. Somnath Chatterjee for daring to come out of their partys old and rotten views. Changes in the policies of the Marxists are needed and perhaps they would realize in future.

cpm mp gives full marks to Mody by Ravipati.Jalaramaiah on 17 Jan 2009

Dear sir, The honourable M.P appears to be a simpleton in nature ,seems to be a person "calling spade a spade". At that moment he forgot politics and could not resist the tempation of his deep sense of appreciation of the development taking place in the state of Gujarat. Some times facts are stranger than fiction! poor gentleman landed in trouble by speaking trurh. In the present day politics,"make-believe" politicians irrespective of parties only thrive and win the day.

Narender Modi by Josepth Moses on 17 Jan 2009

A person has different faces vis-a-vis in his thinking and in his actions. Modi's ideology has nothing to do with his development plan. If he communial, he has also done a great deal to develop his state. Adullakutty has endorsed only his work in the direction development and this does not mean that he is in sink with the ideology of Modi. CPM should now open their eyes and instrospect how their yound cadres view development as the order of the day. Even their new find coliation friends are for development and things will unfold when the elections are over.

Changes by Sivadasan Kuruppath on 17 Jan 2009

Dear Editor,The discussion is a good matter, because the time has come now to accept the reality who is investing money for a business and taking risk and making profit is not a simple matter. This all communist party member should agry and we should change the slogan that communist party is a democratic party that the leaders should tell to the public because EMS we should change the things whenever necessity comes.Thanking you.

Mr. Abdullakuitty CPIM MP by Subramanian on 17 Jan 2009

I Appraise Mr. Abdullakutty MP CPIM He praise Mr. Modis development throughout Gujarat, If Like Mr. Modi CM others states also indian will become a super power. Most of all other CMs are vote catching ideas they dont want to development of the state. So forget all things and let us do some things for the countrys developmentSubramanian-Muscat

Be fair by Ramakrishnan on 17 Jan 2009

Modi's communal tag appears to be a little over stated. Congress indulged in a pogrom against Sikhs on a much wider scale in 1984. But no one accuses congress of being communal. Similarly SP indulged in dangerous politics of one upmanship by supporting Delhi blast accused. These parties appear to be secular by definition and their actions do not matter. Like in other fields, there should be a level playing field in politics also. Crime committed by politicians most of the time go unpunished. Recently Mamta Banerji caused thousands of crores of loss to the country through her ill advised agitation against Nano. CPM is converting Kerala into a waste land though its cynical policies. BJP is riddled by factionalism and appear to be functioning like any nother party when in power.

Attempt to be in the limelight--- by romesh.sharma on 17 Jan 2009

To my mind this guy,Abullahkutty wants to be in the limelight of media and to be known in the whole country. He is,infact, Mr nobody and is well advised to make such statement which will irritate/ennoy most people which will be automatically bought by the media for maximum publication. Moreover Modi is most shining, most spoken, most criticized, most efficient,a true patriot and seen as future PM who will lead India into prosperity and progress.Anybody like Kutty praising Modi will be immidiately in the limelight. This guy is croock and cunning.I am sure he would have been never seen in media with grinning face covered with deception.

FULL MARK for Abdulla Kutty by V.K.Sunil on 17 Jan 2009

A rare communist in CPM... from the college days who stood alone against the political rivals in S.N.College Cannanore....He can not change. He deserves full mark for his openion. many young leaders in CPM feel the same but they do not have guts to tell it openly..Dear Mr.Karat ...time has come to to some changes .Please learn from young people.

Hartals own country by Akz on 17 Jan 2009

Kerala is hartals own country. A lovely place where a political party has a right to disrupt normal lives, can kill political opponents. They have the right to kill anyone even in front of their parents. These style of public life would not have been even in prehistoric times. I feel sorry for our people who live under these circumstances. They can easily deny someones freedom in excercising their party programmes like a bandh or a hartal. This beautiful state will which I call hartals own country will only improve if there are some radical changes in the functioning of these distructive political parties. Jai Hind

Kudos Abdullakutty. You are truely progressive and level headed by Ravi on 17 Jan 2009

The need of the day is people who are level headed and who know how to distinguish and understand the issues and realities much like CPM MP from Kannur, A P Abdullakutty. He deserves kudos of all sensible people for being conscientious and standing out of the long decayed CPM mindset. He is known for being progressive and not cynical and ideological bankrupt like typical Maarxist (Cannibals of Nandigram, Md Ghaznis(looter) of WB

Carrat, people start thinking, expect more troubles like this. by C.K.Sunil on 17 Jan 2009

Carrat, can you take any action against the 'erring' comrade at the expense of Muslim votes? When the same Abdulla Kutty joined the muslim brothers for the publicly held Eid prayers you quistioned him and allowed to go free fearing a back lash from muslims if action is taken against him. That proved that you are not against comrade taking part in muslim prayers. During makaravilaku festival your fellow comrades (including the pervert minister) were found standing at the sannitham without paying any obeisance to Lord Ayyappa. If they are known belivers why this farce? Why this hipocracy? Abdulla is right because he practices what he preaches and he can differentiate what is good and bad with out the colour of party flags. That is why he has praised Modi's positive side. Comrades, given a chance you guys will take India back to ruins paying the way for Chinese invasion. There is no other non patriotic party like CPM in the country.

Thanks Sunil by Common Man on 19 Jan 2009

Abdulla Kutty is interesting for young India. We must thank Sunl for bringing these facts in front of readers.

This man is CM or PM stuff for any party. by Thomas on 17 Jan 2009

Mr. Abdullakkkutty seems to be of real zeal for development and have the right spirit to reform the Marxist ideology to suit the present day necessities to survive in an educated class of people. Here, we can see a politician who can be next Chief Minister of any state. His policy towards the Hartals needs special praise. Needless to say, the kind of people around him may not allow him to further utter any word as they feel Marxist to have only a single opinion which should be like His Master's Voice to echo the Polit Beaurau. I extend every praise to have openly airing his progressive comments to spark a useful timely discussion among party circles and the public. Congratualations Abdullakkutty!!!

When Kutty will learn more Modi, he will change views his communalism too! by Raju on 17 Jan 2009

The Indian political parties are treating their MPs as slaves. What Mr. Kutty has said is right. Mr. Modi is victim of media who painted him in bad taste during the violence in Gujarat. In Gujarat only 1297 Muslims and 793 (APROximate) people got killed. The media place all of them as Muslim deaths! The lies of media has made monster out of Mr. Modi but his work is now speaking for itself. Gujrati Muslims are more happy today then what they were before Mr. Modi. Only those Muslims are unhappy who still thinks that it is the birth right of Muslims to rule over India!

Development by Mohammed Sameer on 17 Jan 2009

The term development was first introduced and realised due to the hardwork of CM like Chandra Babu Naidu

abdullakutty about modi by dr arun on 17 Jan 2009

abdullakutty has said something which is a reality that all politicians despite any caste should be doing for the country. he was bold enough to say narendra modis skill of engineering a states growth from developments is nothing to do with the lousy religions which has and is making humans fight. if u can eat, wear clothes, use technology, and even ride on cars made of people of other religions then whats the wrong praising a true visionary for the future india.shame on those who make a fuss of this issue.

CPM's agenda by Sajith on 16 Jan 2009

Mr.Abdullakkutty is one of the common man who realize the developments in Kerala. Hartal is the main development in this state. 165 Hartals were imposed on ordinary people last year by politicians. 100% litteracy for rape, political murder, corruption etc. The funny thing is they call Kerala 'Gods own country'. This is really 'Devils own country' now. Abdullakkutty is one of the leaders of ruling party in Kerala. But he is against the hartals and CPM's gundaraj. That is why party asks an explaination. He did a right statement about Narendra Modi's developmnets in Gujarat on right time. CPM's main agenda is to devide people in the name of religion and collect maximum vote from the Musilim vote bank. Unfortunately this guy is against that idea. I really appreciate Mr.Abdullakkutty for his stable stand about previous statement.

cpm mp praise for modi by harun on 16 Jan 2009

fully appreciate the cpm MPs view on modi and devlopment. But to ignore 10% of the population after getting them economically criplled is not what a constitutional head must be doing. The MP should know how the minorities were targetted specifically in Gujrat and paid pittance of Rs100 as compensation.Pl get the way devlopmental works have been done in areas were there is a high concentration of minorities by using the RTI the way the state has abjugated its responsibility is alarming to say the least. As of my fellow bloggers they are unfortunately blinded by there anti pluralistic convictions that basic humanity has taken a back seat,Sad but true to say so.The way CPM has gone about ruling in Bengal and kerala they are going to face such views from there own cadre.Having seen and known the way the pogorm in Gujrat was carried out the CPM MP must join the BJP as he has lost faith in the MARXIST ideology.

Is this progressive ?? by Awais Ahmed on 16 Jan 2009

What Abdullah Kutty forgets is that in Modi's Gujarat the progress will not touch him. A whole community (read muslims) have been sidelined and made to live as 3rd class citizens. Is this the model he is praising ?Modi is preparing terrorists in his state for the future by sidelining and denying rights to muslims.

Communalizing development.... by Common Man on 19 Jan 2009

"Modi is communal" is what is tough in your school? Like Pakistani text books preach "Indians" have done injustice to them.... Development can not be "communal" like you are trying to justify. Do you know ground realities of Muslims in Gujarat? The famous 2002 taylor is back to Gujarat and staying there happily. Gujarat is striving with development and Muslims are part of it. If someone are not, reason is not their being "Muslim". I dont praise Modi but I appreaciate his efforts for development he is bringing in Gujarat.

Indian by Naim Naqvi on 16 Jan 2009

Abdullah Kutty, in order to gain cheap publicity, like Nejma Heptullah and Arif Mohd Khan is trying to board the bandwagon of BJP. GUJRAT has been a state primarily run for baniyas and by baniyas whose prime concern is to make money. It is a state which selected a person as C.M. who has trampled most of the human values with mindless acts of fanaticism. Recent accolades showered by Anil Ambani and Cohorts is a glaring example how ruthless and selfish the money-makers are and how far they can go. Prosperity without social justice is an abominable preposition for mankind. Mody is a criminal and responsible for unthinkable human sufferings and he is beyond the scope of purgation. Most of the problems faced by the country are created by Advanis and MODIS.

Modi by Kumar on 16 Jan 2009

Muslims are more comfortable and secured in Gujrat under Modi. I do'nt understand why some people feel like 'soar grapes'whenever Modi is praised ! He is elected by the people including Muslims of Gujrat. People who critisise him should not forget that he is the best chief minister India has ever seen !

By your logic Hindus of India will be better comfortable in PAkistan like they are in Sindh province by Atif [India muslim] on 17 Jan 2009

By your logic Hindus of India will be better comfortable in PAkistan like they are in Sindh province of Pakistan.U haven't seen the attrocities in gujarat. He is the men due to which all Indian Hindus feels shame against muslim.

A'Kutty and Marxism by Geo on 16 Jan 2009

Abdulla K’tty is like B’ Obama. Are you Black or White? I am both. I have black dad and white mom. Are you Muslim or Christian? I am both. I have Mulim father and Christian mom. Are you a socialist or capitalist?..A’Kutty, are you a Marxist or BJP or congress? Am everything. I like N’Modi, S’Dixit and I support Marxism, I am against hartals and bandh. Are you a Muslim or communist? Both. I want to be communist, but I also am a Muslim. I want to stop near mosques and do the Niskarams. We like communists like A’Kutty, but real communists don’t. Communists will expel this guy, like Somnath Chatterjee. Lately the tactics of communists also changed. They want to recruit everybody because they know that they cannot get the votes to win only from the poor who have only communist ideas. Marxist recruitment starts at Church, Mosque , temples. Deal with these fake communists or all the communists can change like A’Kutty or Russia(supports democracy

Develop the Nation, not the party by P.Kulandavelu on 16 Jan 2009

Surely CPM MP might have watched the performance of Gujarat CM for quite some time and now he exposed his views openly.Side by side he should have watched about the communal calmness also in the recent times. Now we are not hearing any untoward incidence in any religion in Gujarat. So as per his conscience Mr.Abdulla kutty praised the ruling of Gujarat CM.If any CM rules for the public that is to be welcomed by all parties. Then only everybody will believe that all paries are standing for the public cause. So CPM must accept the truth told by their party MP.All parties should aim for the welfare of the Nation and the public only, not for their party's richness.

Good Statement by manoj on 16 Jan 2009

This is absolutely astonishing and welcome statement by the MP from Communist Party. We and MEDIA should give preference to development of the country. Our media always go for sensationalism. It is the duty of our media to educate our people to debate on the economic development of the country and for themselves.
