New Delhi, January 13 The motive behind the murder of 50-year-old Meera Mittal, in CR Park is still unknown as the police continue their investigation. The police had detained the victim’s driver Anoop on Saturday but sources said that he does not seem to be involved in murder since he was the one who called the police. “There is nothing concrete yet. We are still questioning him,” said DCP Anil Shukla .

Mittal was found murdered in her flat in Alaknanda, near CR Park on Saturday evening with stab injuries on her neck. Her husband Naresh Mittal works as a senior executive in a private firm and had gone to Bhopal for the last five days. Her two children, Nitin and Suchi, work in Singapore and Hongkong.

The police is probing all the angles including property dispute, personal enmity or sudden provocation of any employee but robbery has been ruled out since everything in the house was intact. Police said that only the jewellery she was wearing is missing. The Mittals reside in C-20, Godhavri Apartments.

Anoop was hired seven days ago through a person employed in their society. The police are also interrogating other servants of the house, vendors and other people who were in regular contact with the victim. A family friend, Neeraj Sarang, said, “They are a very peace loving family. They have no fight or dispute with anybody”.
