Kolkata, April 21 The BA, BSc and Bcom Part III (1+1+1) and Part II (2+1) examinations of vocational courses in Calcutta University have been rescheduled to May 26 from April 22. The examinations of Mass Communication and Video Production, Communicative English, Tax Procedures and Practices, Sericulture, Advertising Sales Promotion and Sales Management, Office Management and Secretarial Practices have been rescheduled. Around 120 students will appear in the exam.

The news, however, created panic among the 40,000 students who will appear for pass and honours papers on Monday as it was flashed on news channels without mentioning that it was for the vocational examination.

Deputy Controller of examination Debasish Biswas said this was due to the misplacement of some items due to bandh.

“The honours and pass examinations on Monday will be held as scheduled,” said Biswas.
