New Delhi A Delhi court on Monday remanded former Commonwealth Games (CWG) Organising Committee officials T S Darbari, Sanjay Mahendroo and M Jayachandran to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody for three days till November 25.

The officials, who are close aides of Suresh Kalmadi, were arrested in a case concerning payments made to AM films and AM car hire, both owned by Ashish Patel, a UK based businessman.

M Jayachandran, the sacked treasurer of the Games OC, was arrested in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Queen's Baton Relay (QBR) and other transactions by the CBI on Sunday evening.

The arrest comes almost a week after T S Darbari and Sanjay Mohindroo, former OC officials, were arrested on charges of bungling in the QBR in London last year.

Officials said the OC suffered a loss of approximately Rs 3.5 crore in awarding the contract to AM Films and AM Cars for the QBR.

Jayachandran role as treasurer has been under the scanner due to alleged foreign exchange violations. He has also been summoned in the past by the Enforcement Directorate under the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
