Coming out with details about its operations, the Maoists have insisted that they enjoy “massive mass support” and claimed that a “handful of guerillas” had repulsed a massive joint operation by the Central forces in Dantewada district in September by “relying on the sea of people in which we swam like fish”. And they plan to use the local population in the future also to thwart more such attacks from security forces.
“All our plans, policies, strategy and tactics will be based entirely on the active involvement of the vast masses of people in this war of self-defence. The enemy class cannot decimate us without decimating the entire population in regions we control,” Maoist leader Azad, who is also the spokesperson of the group’s central committee, said in an interview with The Indian Express.
Almost reciprocating the Centre in discussing their detailed fighting strategy, Azad said the Maoists would never get into a head-to-head war with the “superior” government forces, like the LTTE rebels had done in Sri Lanka, for fear of being aerially bombarded.
“Until the time we reach a decisive stage in our war, we will not fight a positional war in a small area against a superior force that is likely to resort to aerial bombardment if needed. We can fight the mightiest enemy by properly adhering to the principles of guerilla warfare. We will hit the enemy when and where it is convenient to us and not when and where he provokes us,” he said.
Amidst reports that Naxalite groups are regrouping in Andhra Pradesh, the Maoist leader confirmed they were trying to rebuild the movement in the southern state.
Ruling out any possibility of the Maoists laying down arms, he said, “We may lose some forces in this brutal offensive by the enemy....Even if we lose some forces we shall rebuild the movement as we are now doing in Andhra Pradesh. You will see the results of our painstaking underground work in the near future.”
Azad also reiterated that the Maoists were ready for a ceasefire but “never, not even in the dreams” can think about laying down arms.

why the maoists says so confidently they can use civilians for fighting against the govt? if they think it is right to fought aginst the govt with maoist they will do.but what is govt thinking about this? why govt can't say we will completely vanish the maoists from our country still we are have the 2nd largest army & 5th largest navy in the world.
Govt machinery is not able to detect the problems in the region. All the money Govt intends to spend is being looted by corrupt politicians and babus with protection from Police who also share the loot. So this uprising is expected and Govt may crush this today but untill the loot is not stopped, culprites are punished and real development matching with the local temperement and culture takes place this uprising will again errupt in another form. So fist catch and punish the politicians and babus who continue to loot the region for the last 62 years grabbing land and food from these poor people.
They seems mentioned LTTE like.Where is LTTE now? Mostly under the sea or sand!LTTE fought for a fairly reasonable cause. But Mao's are fighting a proxy war for CHina biggest blood sucken in the world.
How many civilians writing in this forum are ready to go the battle field and fight against Maoist ? this is heading towards a civil war and will not bring any good.
The juggi-jhompadi wallahs decided to do or die to roast their daily breads. By begging, you know, by pleading, somebody is getting employment, the cases are being considered in the court, land loan, remuneration of work and all Govt. matters are being considered by the Govt. those who are lucky after their death, or at their senile days. Study the statistics of the 60 years of freedom to India & Mr. K.K.Gandhi's experiences and experiments with regard to these destitutes, if they are for their daily bread and not for a null and void cry of revolution.
Now the real face of the violence based political group which calls themselfs maoists and claim to have a massive people support is open. They do not want a ceasefire, they will not lay down arms, they will regroup and escalate their violence and our governments will keep on fighting on who will grab the cedit if they successed in stopping the Maoists. It is really high time the Maoists are dealt with a coordinated police and developmental onslaught or else every thing is left to imagination.
In what these people claim as people's voice, why should they adopt five sensed creature's charector? Why is the Indian govt.. slow in crushing them? Can't they or are they fearing??
Yes, Hassan you are right. These are the sewer cockroaches whose aim is only to spread disease. They should be roasted alive and put it in the sewer hole.
Arundhati Roy is one such person. Her economics is based on hate. I move in buses while Roy goes in her swanky car. She is saying go burn her car because I can't afford one.
India is the only remaining country where these sewer cockroaches named maoists still cause trouble with money and material coming from Iran, Pakistan and China. Mao is dead and no one remembers the fellow. The laxity on the part of the Indian government is to blame. These anti god cockroaches should have a price put on their heads and shot at sight or hanged from the nearest lamppole.
