Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee is understood to have referred to the Privileges Committee the issue of placing the wads of currency notes on the table of the House by three BJP MPs that created a flutter.

The move comes in the backdrop of complaints from Congress MP Madhusudan Mistry and Samajwadi Party MP Mohan Singh that the act of the three BJP MPs was amounted to contempt of the House and breach of its privilege.

The Committee will record the evidence of the Congress and the Samajwadi Party MPs as also the three BJP MPs.

Sad day for Democracy by Gpal on 17 Nov 2008

This is another exmaple of Emergency rule. Somnath has sold himself. Instead of taking actions against Amar Singh and Ahmed Patel it was sad to see that action is initiated against the whistle blower. Sad day for India Democracy.

bjp, existed to bring India down by real bharatiya on 16 Nov 2008

no good should be expected from bjp. bjp's intention is to bring down Indian parliamentry system. bjp has nothing like patriotism. They show their 'nautankee' to whole the world. They(bjp MPs) are money hungry. They were jealous of Ahmed Patel's reputation as a 'CLEAN' politician. T/Ffore, they name Ahmed Patel. They were also afraid of Amersinh's fight against 'bjp's communalism'

You Are Not True Bharatiya by indian on 17 Nov 2008

You can not be a 'real bharatiya' as you claim to be. How can such an ignorant person do anything useful to the country, other than supporting the party which ruled 60 years and has completely broken the country? It is because of people like you Bharat is in such a pathetic condition. Do a favour and please do NOT cast your vote in coming election. We know who you will cast your vote, to completely destroy the country.
