United colours of Holi
For the first time ever, 42 television actors have performed together for Star Plus’ Holi special show, Rang Barse—Bura Na Mano Holi Hai. The actors from Baa Bahu Aur Baby, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi celebrated the festival of colours with their colleagues from Chhote Ustaad and other shows. Actors such as Ronit Roy, Yash Tonk, Karan Patel, Rakshanda Khan, Suvarna Jha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Prachi Desai and Sakshi Tanwar joined the fun. Even Gautami Kapoor, who is allergic to colours, couldn’t hold herself back during the shoots. Gautami, who is also the host of Rang Barse, chucked all inhibitions and drenched herself and all her friends in colour.

Return of the native
ACTOR Amit Varma will once again be seen on small screen in the main lead after a gap of almost one year. Amit, who had taken a conscious break from TV, lately had joined Baa Bahu Aur Baby and now has replaced Dev Keshwani to play the role of Ashu in Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah on Star One. He would be playing Annu’s love interest. Apparently the reason for producer Deeya and Tony Singh to replace Dev with Amit was because the story was to take a new twist, and they required a mature actor to play the character. Amit is quite excited about the move.

Changing track
ACTOR Amrita Prakash, who was last seen in Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hain has called it quits as she was not too happy with the way her track was proceeding in the TV series. And once again she has shifted her focus to films. The girl reveals she has signed up two films, one for Rajshri Prodcutions titled Ek Vivaah Aisi Bhi and the other one for Sanjay Khandelwal called World Of Fashion. While she would be playing actor Isha Koppikar’s younger sister in Ek Vivaah, in Sanjay’s film she would be seen as an aspiring designer from small town.
