Rise and shine

Aishwarya Rai proved it again—that post-marriage, her brand value has remained intact. Rai, an ambassador of Lux soaps, sashayed in at the J W Marriott hotel on Thursday to launch a new product, with her giggles and charm in place. The organisers planned a dance performance by Sandip Soparrkar and Jesse Randhawa, but Ash, in a chic black dress, stole the thunder. As shutterbugs and TV channels jostled for the perfect frame, the byte-friendly Rai too made sure to say a world or two about her next release Jodhaa Akbar.

Showstopper Ash's diamond earrings, each a five-carat solitaire, completely annuls her previous wardrobe dysfuctions.
