Mr. Chidambaram...In the past 15 days you have contradicted your own words big time:1. First you said that IAF will be allowed to use fire power against these Maoists.2. Then you said that the Indian Army will be sent in to reign in these people.3. Then you said that states will be asked to form join operation teams to control this menace.4. Now you are saying come for talks????????Mr. Chidambaram...will you stop playing politics and come out clean and accept that Maoism / Naxalism regenerated only in 2005 .i.e. one full year after Congress came to power in 2004. And that in 2004, your government specifically said " WE WILL CURB THIS MENACE BY TALKS". The Joint operation of Police Forces was in place when your party took power in 2004, it was initiated by the erstwhile BJP/NDA government and proved to be highly successful and your government chose to disband it then?Result : 4000 people have died since 2005 at the hands of this maoists.Shame on you Mr. Chidambaram.

Mr.Chidambaran our home minister should be congratulated for calling Mao communists for peace talks to solve their problems.Our home minister is offering the sign of peace to all who oppose him.It is gesture of maturity of our politician and rightly he deserves credit and our appreciation to solve our problems.

Growing unemployment, empty rhetoric, widening gap bewteen rich and poor, increasing westernisation, corrupt political system , ever obliging buraucracy to these politicians, exploitation of tribals...all lead to surge in the naxalism. 1000S of crores are spent to construct statues...memorials..I think the day is not far away when the youth rush to join the naxal movement rather than Indian military.We need to adopt carrot and stick approach here.Anyway hycpocricy of Indian politicians are being exposed.

Dear Readers,I agree with Mr. Kalpathy Venkatraman, In a civil and democratic society violence has no place. Educated peopleshould not have guns in their pockets and demand forjustice. The justice has to be earn. They are responsiblefor destruction of public property including railway andother public institutions. What foreign or domestic companywould like to invest their money where they can not seeany return of their money. For sixty years other states have progressed with technology and industries.They are Indian citizen after all that does not mean theycarry guns around and threaten other citizens.If they persist with violence then they should be eliminated. First they should give their weapons and come to the negotiation table. They should be given chance andsee the change. To eradicate the Moaist menace,the Govt must take special steps at least now to provide jobs to all the youth. The unemployment is the real cause for it pushes them to the Naxals side.

I appreciate Chidambaram's new approach to solving the Naxalite problem. The Naxals are Indians to start with and I am sure their movement is not aimed at disintegrating India. They are educated people left behind by the prosperity of India due to corrupt politicians and oppressive police. We should try to put their destructive energy into constructive use. Rather than spending millions of rupees sending police and special forces into Naxal infested areas, spend that money for the improvement of tribal areas in terms of education, transportation facilities, health care, employment etc. The antidote for Naxalism is Rama Rajya and not Sonia Rajya. This should be done on fast track within the next 3 to 6 months. Even after providing the Naxals with assurances they need for economic development, if they still resort to violence and destruction, the Government should then use full force to eliminate them.

The Maoist/Naxal menace has arisen because of a major failure of the central and state governments and the IAS and IPS officers arising out of their negligence and incompetence.

Before talks india should first and foremost give independence to the states. There has been force used against the innocent, unarmed maoist fighting for their independence. India should stop using force and india should be given ultimatum. Similarly other states of india fighting for there freedom should also be set free and form a new constitution.
