Los Angeles Singer Chris Brown has lost a lucrative endorsement deal with the makers of Doublemint chewing gum after his arrest on assault charges ‘MTV News’ reported.

"Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen,"

"We have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved," the company said in a statement released to ‘MTV News’.

The 19-year-old R n B singer was arrested on Sunday after a yet unnamed woman filed a case against him for alleged battery.

According to unconfirmed reports the victim was none other than Brown's 20-year-old superstar girlfriend Rihanna. The singer apparently filled out the police report with her birth name Robyn Fenty.

Brown escaped prison by paying up the hefty bail sum of USD 50,000 and will appear in court on March 5 for a hearing.
