“The core committee meeting has been postponed due to Annaji's ill health. The date of next meeting will be announced after 4-5 days,” Hazare's aide Suresh Pathare said.
The activist's associates were to meet at his native village Ralegan Siddhi in western Maharashtra to chalk out their future strategies in fight against corruption.
The 74-year-old social activist called off his three-day fast against a “weak” Lokpal Bill mid-way on December 28 due to poor health. He returned to his village the next day.
Notwithstanding the poor turnout at the protest venue in Mumbai, the anti-graft crusader renewed the threat to campaign against the Congress in five poll-bound states, including Uttar Pradesh, for bringing in a “weak” Lokpal Bill.

congress is trying to use the movement to their advantage. The current Sarkari Lokpal is aimed at making Rahul strong dictator in future. This current Lokpal and Lokayukt will be used by Sarkar to control, blackmail and topple state Governments. the CBI was not enough for them. Please don't allow this Lokpal to be passed. We the people need Anna's lokpal with suitable legal amendments as per constitution.
I will suggest Anna, not to campaign in election as it will further dilute his cause. Any adverse result in the election for the party for which you campaign will be treated as a defeat for your genuine cause. You have indicated that your campaign will be against the ruling party. That means it will be for the main opposition BJP. I can't see much prospect for BJP in the ensuing election except in Punjab. The defeat of BJP in remaining states will be, there fore, treated as a vote against your cause. So beware of your participation. Good luck Anna, good luck.
It was a strategic blunder to have called off Anna Hazare's fast. Even if Anna was unwell, the others in Team Anna could have continued the fast at the same venue. Now they have lost the momentum of the movement.
My friends believe that are close to Anna say that campaigning against Congress is not really Anna's idea. It seems to be the idea of the two people who have been flanking him everywhere. These people are giving Press Releases in Anna's name. The two people forgot about the Maharashtrian pride about doing the right thing. Anna is not a happy man right now. So he feels cheated.
