Group D employee Sachin Bahri (26) came out of a toilet in the air base camp on Saturday morning and began vomiting and was rushed to hospital, where he was declared brought dead, police said.
IAF officials claimed he committed suicide by ingesting a poisonous substance, which was also found in the pocket of the jacket he had on, but Bahri's family alleged he was murdered.
They claimed he died due to ‘excessive torture’, was kept working after hours and did not return home at night.
They staged a protest outside the station along with supporters and police rushed to the spot to pacify them.
A case under Section 302 (murder) of IPC was later registered at Adampur police station against Wing Commander Bharat Kumar and Flying Officer M R Morya, Senior Superintendent of Police Arpit Shukla said but ruled out their immediate arrest.
"Let me investigate the allegations and if any fault of the officers is found, they will be arrested," he said.
Bahri did not return home even after office closing time after which his father went to the air base to inquired about him, his family alleged.
They said his father was allegedly told by the two officers that there was a heavy workload and Bahri would return only after he completes it.
