Melbourne Australia vice-captain Michael Clarke is expected to land up with a massive windfall if he makes himself available for the Indian Premier League auction on February 6.

The middle-order batsman stayed away from the inaugural IPL season due to personal commitments and is drawing major interest from the franchisees.

"I think Michael (Clarke) can earn anywhere between USD 750,000 to USD 850,000 a season," said player agent Neil Maxwell, who recently stood down as chief executive of Kings XI Punjab.

"Michael will be attractive. He's a very versatile cricketer. He can bat, he can bowl and he's a brilliant fielder," he was quoted as saying by 'The Sunday Telegraph'.

Besides Clarke, wicketkeeper Brad Haddin and speedster Shaun Tait too are in high demand, the newspaper reported.

It meanwhile said that IPL franchisees could demand the team's top stars make themselves available for the business end of the tournament.

"The demand follows an amended ICC playing schedule that will now see the likes of Ricky Ponting and Andrew Symonds travel from Australia's series against Pakistan straight to India without a break ahead of Australia's tour to England," it said.

The second edition of the IPL will be held between April 10 and May 24 while Australia's tour of Pakistan, expected to be shifted to a neutral venue, is set to be held between April 19 and May 10.
