Sandeep’s father Unnikrishnan had snubbed Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan when they came to his house on Sunday after he repeatedly declined to see them. Sandeep’s father Unnikrishnan was upset that none of the Kerala ministers called or visited to offer condolence while their counterparts in Karnataka did.
So the commando’s father asked them to go back. “I have lost all respect for you, VS,” he said. Later, he clarified that the politicians arrived after he repeatedly said no and admitted that he “responded badly.”
Talking to Times Now, Achuthanandan said: “I have respect for Sandeep, his mother and father. If it had not been Sandeep’s residence, not even a dog would have glanced at the house,” he told the channel. “I did not expect such a reception.” There is widespread outrage among politicians of all shades over the Chief Minister’s comments. BJP state president P K Krishnadas said Achuthandanan has become a disgrace for the state. “VS inflicted wounds on that bereaved family. He should quit the post,” he said. “When People’s Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani was acquitted in the Coimbatore serial blast case, three ministers of the Left Government turned up for the reception in Thiruvanananthapuram. The CPM has proved that the party would honour anti-nationals and insult those who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.”
Senior Congress leader Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said Achuthanandan’s comment is aimed at killing the NSG hero again. “While the entire country is saluting Sandeep’s supreme sacrifice, his home state is insulting him,” he said. A CPI MP from Kerala, who preferred anonymity, said Achuthanandan’s comment on Sandeep’s family was unwarranted. “He has raked up a controversy unnecessarily. It has really embarrassed all of us,” he said.
Opposition leader Oommen Chandy said: “Every Keralite, every Indian, should take pride in his sacrifice. He had embraced death for the nation. Post-death, he should not have been drawn into an unnecessary controversy.”

I would rather a dog visits my house than a politician........
All the bloody politicians should be lined up and shoot them. Where were they when the attacks were going on. We should terminate all the small parties and they should not be allowed to for poll. It high time that every citizen of India should awake and choose the right leader who should not be corrupted. We have forgotten Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri's sacrifice.
It is preferable a dos visting my huse than a communust. You know why, the dos are faithful, undemanding, and unconditional love for their care taker, and follow their dharma, they are not traitors or cheaters. Do the communists have any of this characters?
There is nothing more that we can expect of YOU filthy politicians. By the way, Mr. THIRUVANCHOOR RADHAKRISHNAN, BEFORE BLAMING OTHERS STOP YOUR OWN NASTY POLITICS. YOU ALL ARE THE FRUITS OF THE SAME TREE. THIS INSULT TO UNNIKRISHANAN HAS BEEN INFLICTED BY ANOTHER NASTY POLITICIAN LIKE YOU AND NOT A KERLITE OR ANY OTHER PATRIOT INDIAN. SO STOP DRAGGING THE REST OF THE PEOPLE WITH YOU. AND YOU COWARD ACHUTHANANDAN, HOW DARE YOU SPEAK LIKE THAT ABOUT THE PERSON WHO SAVED OUR LIVES AND THE LIVES OF POISONOUS INSECTS LIKE YOU? Ahh Why Not...After all YOU ALL ARE POISONOUS ANTI_PATRIOTS!

The CPI M Politbureau should get involved in the cheap doggy mater. Prakash Karat and Yetchury should ask Achanuanandan to step down as the CM of Kerala. A shame for the people of Kerala and India.
Kerala has one of the worst ever opposition in the assembly. Brainless representatives who are more into dreaming about getting the next turn to rule, and are far far detached from problems affecting ordinary people of the state. When a tsunami is on the doorstep, in the form of global recession, these jokers are playing fun. If the CM has snubbed back this family, they deserve it - a CM represents the sentiments of an entire state - the death of a soldier who dies on duty is no more greater than an electrician who dies on the pole or a family member who gets crushed under wheels in a road - everyone who faces end of their lives while on call of duty is serving the nation. The nation is people, not the structures. Parents serve the children who are future citizens. Here, the audacity of the gentleman goes to the extreme in ridiculing serving members of the constitution even while living on tax-payers money. People should not stoop to this low levels and play dirty games.
It is a tragedy of the state which boasts about the highest literacy rate in the country to have such an undereducated and insensitive person with very highly inflated ego as its Chief Minister. If Mr. Achudanandan had even a little bit of decency or self-respect, he would not have visited Mr. Unnikrishnan's house after Mr. Unnikrishnan had clearly indicated that he did not want anybody from Kerala Government to visit him. Mr. Achuthandan and Kodiyeri should have shown the decency to respect the feelings of the bereaved family of a martyr, instead of gate-crashing into their home, which according to our comrades is a place”not even a dog would have visited”, using their powers as the Chief Minister and Home Minister. They should have said, "We are sorry to hear that you don't want any of us to visit you in this time of sorrow. We respect your sentiments. Nevertheles, we would like to express the heartfelt condolences of the Government and people of Kerala to you and your family. Probably, we can meet later, after you have calmed down". But, unfortunately, that sort of decency is not a quality of our comrades.Mr. Unnikrishnan’s actions or words are pardonable since he was, at that time an ordinary father grieving the untimely death of his only son. Yet he had the decency to admit that he treated the CM
"Death of a soldier on duty is no more greater than an electrician who dies on the pole" Wow... What a statement that is. Let me as you something Ms Madhumita, after reading the above two replies for your post, did you get embarassed on the fact that you actually wrote this? If not, you are really a brainless commie.
Madhumita you are sick and need some serious treatment. Someone dying on the road or an electrician dying on the pole is an ACCIDENTAL death. Where as a solider knows very well what he is up with, still he's brave and selfless. He is ready to sacrifice his life even for sick people like you .... do you understand that you sick idiot.
Ms Madhumita has spoken like a true dimwitted communist . Please tell me what kind of service you do aprat from preaching . She dare not say such things of a slain martyr, a person who cannot reply back. First practice before you preach. You have stooped so low . So dont expect others to be so idiotic like you commie.
I completely agree to what you have said...Ms Madhumita can you please tell us what have you done so far to serve the nation? can you please tell me when the CM represents the sentiments of the entire state how come the SENSIBLE CM came up with such kind of comment even after knowing the contribution of the politicians in this disaster. Rather than consoling and binding with the people of this country this bloody politician like others are tyring to inflict wound on wound. LET ME TELL YOU MS MADHUMITA, A PERSON MUST NOT BREAK HIS STICK WITH THE HELP OF WHICH HE WALKS. THESE BRAVE OFFICERS ensures that you lead a normal happy life at the cost of their lives and you call them just a electrician who dies on the pole? Have you ever taken up the responsibility to even save anybody's life ever..? I haven't. And i salute these men who doesn't think once about themselves even before laying down their lives. THANK GOD YOU ARE NOT INTO POLITICS..GOD SAVED US FROM GETTING ONE MORE MORE ANTI-PATRIOT!!!
By the same token, Chandrani, you will always deny an Indian Citizen who begs on the street to have a say on anything - if you insist that I spell out my contributions for your approval. Soldiers taking up duty know well in advance the work that they are tasked with - and tax-payers money are spent in training them to deal with such situations. They are well-looked after by the state, and their families too are guaranteed safety when they are gone. Nobody forces one to join the armed forces - its a voluntary acceptance of risk. Casualties then are neither completely unforeseen nor accidental. Unnikrishnan denied entry of CM thinking that it would be a dis-honour for him to get a state-hood response which will rob him of his glorified nation-hood status. This was interpreted as a loss of privilege - it was a cheap dirty design in the mind of this man. Could there be anything more demeaning than this violent thought ? Achuthanandan is a well-respected leader especially amongst women and poor people in Kerala. An insult to him could have been avoided if better sense prevailed. Insofar as your leading-normal-life argument is concerned, I have different opinions. The entire world would be better off if we did away completely with such soldiers - soldiers have inflicted the maximum damage on this human civilisation so far - lets not forget - if anything else - the nuclear bombings - which too was done by a soldier.
Well to address your first comment, Madhumita, if you were a true citizen, in the first place you would have never WROTE in favor of the attitude shown by your SO-CALLED WELL-RESPECTED LEADER Mr. Achuthanandan. It seems for you it was EXTREMELY SENSIBLE that the CM ignored a bloody martyr who fought for US coz IT WAS HIS WILL TO GIVE UP HIS LIFE. WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT? WE ARE JUST HERE TO ENCOURAGE THE ACTS OUR SENSIBLE MINISTERS WHO USES THESE DEFENSE PEOPLE TO PROTECT THEIR GREAT LIVES. WOW! WHAT A SENSIBLE INDIAN YOUR TOO ARE!
SEEM LIKE THE WHOLE BUNCH OF COMMUNISTS HAVE GONE MAD, SOMEONE PLS CALL THE MUNICIPALITY DOG SQUAD.
Its very sad that Ms.Madhumita is considering a soldier as a person who joined in the army on his/her own,But Ms.Madhumita remember that the families of army personnal are not well - looked as u think, eventhough its a voluntary decision to join army, The individual must have Guts to face the most toughest training, and Ms.Madhumita! one more thing I'd like to bring to ur notice is that the Pay scales of the Defence personnal are very less, I think u r not aware of that, A commercial pilot in a private airlines gets five times more salary than a pilot of a fighter plane , who risks his life too,Is it a mistake to accept the risk voluntarily for the sake of the country, Now if Major Sandeep is alive he d really repent of serving the country which has people like U and Mr Achutanandan, instead of being selfish,Its really shame on u r part.Ms.Madhumita Chakraborty, Just its the time to Salute and pay tribute to the Veerjawan , instead of insulting him, By ur comment , u r notonly insulting Mr.Sandeep but also the Great Martyrs, who sacrificed their precious life for the people like "U"
Madhumita, I must acknowledge that fact that there are many out here who think the way you do. Please keep up your good work.
I am not a communist nor a sympathizer. But I think civilized Indian is forgetting his culture and allowing himself to be a pawn to the emotions.CM represents the state - even though the present central govt thought that it represented only congress or UPA.When the 85 year old man went to the house, it was simple courtesy *must* have been extend to him. while one can understand the feelings of the father, that does not give him right to behave in a very uncivilized manner. If you accept that, then how can you complain about any body - including the terrorists? after all they too are slaves to their emotions?Media is hijacking the human beings by dividing them into -polticians, socila activists, journalists etc - The lay man still continue exactly the same way - left high and dry.Even the news item that Modi was told that they do not require "his" compensation is in real terms a total disrespect to the crores of Gujratis as the compensation was not from Modi's pocket. Is this the India - civilized India that we boast of???Some channel was showing Rahul attending a wedding function of his friend and complaining about it.The media was showing films, and all trash in other channels. why on earth they of their own did not diclare a national mourning?sad - indeed sadEmotions blur our visionBlurred vision creates confusion.Confused mind cannot process action in a proper way and lead us to FAIL.this is no philosophy.media need to grow a little more mature.because, thru media a lot of less educated people hear, start thinking etc and and any wrong doing of media can have very bad effect on the population.cheers
