To a query about the World Cup being held in India and the security arrangements, the Home Minister said, "Let the World cup come. We will provide them security".
Terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore killing five policemen and injuring six players.
The BJP also lamented the terror strike and said it is high time that the world recognises the concerns raised by India all along.
BJP said the incident will force the global community to declare Pakistan as a terrorist state. "The world will be compelled to recognise Pakistan as a terrorist state after this attack. Our party was the first to oppose sending Indian team to Pakistan," BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.
"We condemn the attack. It is not only an attack on cricket but also on the peace loving world fraternity. The incident signifies the urgency for the world community to recognise the concerns which India has always been raising," he said.

Adding to Rajeev: Dont vote for people who play with lifes of Indians and security and who divide the nation on the basis of religion, and instigate violence on non issues aiming at curtailing personal freedom. Do not vote to those who play only secular card for vote bank and then once in power, turn against them and start killing them. Dont vote for fanatics but vote for the true face of India, i.e Congress.

It was a perfect decision to call of the Indian tour to Pakistan. We find crickers and film stars talk about "no boundary". But this newly found awareness is to make money for them than anything. When security concerns surface, the govt. should not compromise as it is not only a loss of life of this ball players; but the prestige of the country is more involved.
Where is the secular crowd, their media supporters and the peace doves of the TV media who wanted India to tour Pakistan? Hiding behind some pallu? Bring them out, thrash them and make them shut their mouths. These guys should be blackened in their faces, placed on a donkey and paraded in full public view. These guys who worry more for the terrorists than the normal citizen should be sent to Pakistan to live with the Taliban. Arjuna Ranatunga, the Sri Lankan who tried to force this anti-India axis and arranged this tour which was not scheduled at all, should be hanged. He has done more damage to world peace than Prabhakaran. While people like Prabhakaran are know enemies, it is the people like Ranatunga, the secular forces in the country whom we shd beware of. The former is an enemy; the latter are traitors
