Jammu Creating a flutter in the political circles, Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti (SASS) on Wednesday named an MLA of a ruling party for supporting its agitation for withdrawing the case against religious preacher, Dinesh Bharti, who is wanted by Jammu and Kashmir police for inflaming the passions of people.

SASS also said that Jammu and Kashmir Health Minister and senior Congress leader, Sham Lal Sharma, has even informed them that he will ask the government as to why the agreement with the Samiti under which the cases will be withdrawn against those who took part in the agitation has not been honoured.

Talking to media persons, Convenor of the SASS, Leela Karan Sharma, said, "I talked to Kalakote MLA of NC, he supported the protest. I even talked to Congress MLA, Sham Lal Sharma, he even said that he will take up the matter with the government.

Health Minister, Sharma, however denied giving any support or even the moral support to the SASS. "Samiti has no base. It is only trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere here, he said.

NCs Kalakote MLA, Rachpal Singh, said, " I didnt support the SASS. Its Convenor called me on my phone, even when I had not met him. He asked for arranging a meeting with the CM. But I told him that he should contact Chief Minister’s political advisor, D S Rana, for the same. When I asked him that they have BJP as their constituent, he told me that they have support MLAs.

However Leela Karan Sharma, said that he was not expecting that the Health Minister will directly participate in their protest on February 13, which he said will be, ' peaceful.

Samiti Convenor however said that the protest of the Samiti will only be 'peaceful. "The protest will be peaceful and even the cadres from other districts will be mobilized for it, said, Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti leader.

He even claimed that there were many grass root workers of the ruling NC who were supporting the SASS. "We have even the traders in our core committee who have pledged their support to the cause, said, Leela Karan Sharma.

Samiti Convenor even said that the leaders of the ruling parties were earlier also supporting the agitation which continued for two months for the transfer of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

"We are talking on behalf of the people of Jammu. The Jammu traders lost business during the near two month long agitation over transfer of land to SASB. The loss was in crores, he said.

Sangarsh Samiti Convenor said that those parties who are, 'talking that the government was reviewing the case against Dinesh Bharti were 'nothing but the agents of government. He said that such parties have no right to dictate to the SASS that it should not resort to agitation to get its demands met.
